Fast Biting Skulk

bug? feature? what?
Ive "heard" a skulk bite at least 2X as fast as normal a few times, figured it was lag.

today while playing hera, 3 hives up, had adren+carapace as skulk, and it happened to me, holding down the button, i bit wildly fast, cut down two heavies that were shooting at fades. I survived, and a minute later when I found another marine, it was "off" so to speak.

has anyone else experienced this?

If it goes on and off without you doing anything, it's almost definately primal scream. Or a strange bug. I'd imagine you'd notice if you were hacking...

Could just be imagining the 1-2 hives thing.

It's primal scream. Your memory is deceiving you.

It happens to me too. On some of the servers I play on it's that way all the time, while on other servers it just fluctuates and goes off and on, I'm not really sure what causes it, but it happens to me too.

I've also heard skulks bite loads faster than I ever could while there has been just 1-2 hives up.. so it couldb't be primal scream.

I've never actually gotten to bite insanely fast without primal scream though..

I think it is lag. This one game I played, the good skulk player killing with me asked how I could bite so fast, and accused me of hacking. However, in my game, my bite speed seemed normal. It might me the weapon prediction or something, just like the marine "instantly" killing you in 2 bullets when in reality he had been shooting for a while.
