why do marines die in 2 skulk bites?
why are humans still using bullets if we have way advanced tech?
why do you see outta the skulks mouth when his eyes are on his head?
why are fades more deadlier then onoses?

marines die in 2 skulk bites because kharaa are supposed to be melee units. once they close this distance, lights out.
humans are still using bullets for... erm... balance reasons? hehe i dunno. there was a whole thread about "realism in NS" and it was decided that ballistic weapons are nice, cheap, conventional, easy to use instead of a 150 lb laser battery that can't be field-repaired. Or something.

fades are more deadly than onii because fades are more easy to come by, have a no-skill splash damage weapon that kills unupgraded marines like bugs, and you rarely see onii. If you do, its already GG. but nothing stops an onos that knows what its doing.
aliens have more weapons because marines' greatest weapon (teamwork) can slaughter anything the aliens can individually throw at them, i guess.
marines aren't expected to have no free will. They just aren't supposed to take expensive gear, run out alone (teamwork, remember?) and die, wasting res. There is a great amount of free will for marines that demonstrate to their comm they know how to own.

Marines can take 3 with armor upgrades but it is done so aliens arn't f*cked in the start. 3 bites would be insane that early on.

Because that is how Flayra wanted it. If you want to look at it that way, why don't we just blow up the space ship that they're on? Why don't we have tanks? Why don't we have lightsabers? Point taken?

Because it is how Flayra wanted it, and how he designed it. It is for gameplay only, not to be realistic.

They arn't. They just come before onos and if the marines arn't prepared enough onos arn't needed. If the team actually knows how to combat fades then they arn't nearly as deadly as onos.

For the most part marine weapons are better.

Because if they don't follow orders they are destroyed.

<b>why do you see outta the skulks mouth when his eyes are on his head?</b> - Two reasons. First, it's atmospheric - it's like the AvP alien's headbite attack coming from the top and bottom of your screen. Second, it's a balancing element for such a powerful attack.
<b>why are fades more deadlier then onoses?</b> - They're not, really... each alien is deadly in its "arena." You wouldn't pick an Onos to ambush a marine in a dark corner, would you (well, not without cloaking, anyway...)? Onos and Fade each have their own specific benefits. Oh, and Primal Scream is the best ability in the game.
<b>why do aliens have more weapons?</b> - Because as any one alien, you only have access to 4, and because Marine weapons are (a) more effective, and (b) each specifically tailored to a certain purpose. NS isn't a weapon mod; it includes as many weapons as are needed to create a well-rounded squad. That number happens to be 8.
<b>why are marines expected to be stormtroopers(no free will)</b> - Because they're not in charge. Aliens don't have all that much "free will" either - if your hive is under attack, you'd better get back to defend it. The difference is that marines have a single commander who oversees the whole battle, while aliens must take individual responsibility and use a distributed "command net" instead. If you want rambo tactics, might I suggest CS.

2. Because they are advanced tech bullets which hurt more than the current tech ones.
3. Because the jaws open up so wide that they actually cover your view from your eyes, so you switch to the other eyes which are inside your mouth
4. Fades are not more deadlier than onos, onos can deal more dmg on avg than fades. Even a skulk can chew up a base faster than fades.
5. Aliens dont have any weapons, they use their body. If you counted the marines using their body as weapons then they'll have kick/punch/headbutt etc, and thus marines would have more weapons either way.
6. Because they chose to be stormtroopers (free will)
1) Cheap. A box of bullets is a heckuva lot cheaper and easier to manufacture than a laser
2) Nanostrain. The Nano-Grid has an easy enough time creating small pieces of metal, but when it has to assemble a whole laser gun and then charge it? 3) Hand-held lasers with enough power to do serious damage are IMPOSSIBLE. In order for a laser to draw enough energy to do damage, they would be HUGE. They would only fit on battlecruisers and such.
The unupgraded Light Machine Gun can kill an unupgraded skulk with 8 (or was it 9) hits.
