Problems Joining Servers

<div class="IPBDescription">executable out of date</div> whenever i try to join a server i get a message saying my natural selection executable is out of date and to my knowledge there arent any patches. half life is also updated to the currect version. yes i did see the other thread about this problem, about editing the woncomm.lst file in the valve folder. i did this and i still get the same message. anyone have any suggestions?

    have you gone through you standard HL exe and then activated the mod by itself? (through custom games)

    if not, try it there was a bug with the desktop icon, not sure if this is your prob

    I have exactly the same problem.

    Please please can someone shed some light on this.

    The problem may be something to do with the fact I re-installed windows, but I re-installed half-life afterwards and the problem remains.
    I tried adding in those lines to my woncomm.lst, and it didn't do anything.

    @serv, you did rememeber to update HL upon reinstall, yes? (Ie can you connect to other mods?)

    there was a wide spread problem like you are describing earier this week. AFAIK it was a sierra problem. It went away in a few hours for everyone that I know...

    I can't connect to any other mods, but my Hl client is fully updated.

    I can connect to any LAN game with other up to date clients., I've even tried copying over their whole HL directory, but I still get the same problem when I try to join an online server.


    I think I'll just have to format my hard drive to fix this. Damn you Won! <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
