Alright, i have a Asylum GeForce4 128Mb Vid card but i dont know how to use it to its fullest. First off, what exactly is overclocking your videocard? Also, i have it at 1152x864 open gl default but i was wondering if i go higher is there a way to make the words bigger? Any other tips would be helpful. Thanks.

hehe, overclocking, requires you to do some chip/board modification, and if you don't know that much about comps, I would not suggest it

Also you probably have a Ti something high (guessing b/c of the 128 megs)

as for making the text bigger, don't think you can
you might be able to if you could find where the font's are stored for HL and then replacing them, but I sorta don't think you can.

Yeah, its ti4200, so the res i have is the best way i can play games? And yes, overclocking seems a little beyond my air spray can cleaning talents.

If you want bigger fonts you can change your gfx.wad file. I can send you the compiler for this wad (it's a special wad file) if you want to make bigger fonts yourself.

There are some files that you can edit (txt files I believe) and change the font, but I forget at this moment and I can't look since I'm in school right now.

But if you want to make the text bigger the easy way, just lower your resolution.

And it's more difficult than changing a simple txt file. You have to do a bmp file with the font yourelf. Like this:
