Marines vs Alien, the Eternal Battle
The command screams at you to advance to the next doorway 10 meters across the hall. Sticking you head cautiously out around the corner, and though your Nano-Tech Ballistics Helmet, you see movement around the marked doorway, you tell your commander for one lone marine, it is nearly certain death. Sliding your head back into safeness, your screen flashes saying "Parasite Detected, Code 27015" "Shxt.." You mutter to yourself, with a deep raspy voice. As you slide your hands into your ammo pouch, you have 1 clip with your Cx10 Startard Issue pistol. You eject the empty clip, and insert the new. With the empty clip, you slip yourhead out again, and throw it at the end of the corridor where the designated Marker is on your helmet. You hear a chuckle and slimey footsteps in the pattern as a dog would use. As the Small 2/3 meter high creature, you aim your precision shot pistol at it, and shoot. CLAK CLAK CLAK CLAK! With wasting 4 of you 10 bullets hitting once, you curse at your luck and know that your "element of suprise" is gone. With that, you check the reverse side of the corridor, all clear. Stepping out carefully you see it again. it LEAPS at you and it gets so close that you notices the scales on its skin, then disappears... "Where the..."
"MARINE MOVE YOUR **** TO THE NEXT MARK POINT!" Booms over your intercomm system with the team commander
"Yes sir." As you realize your clip was cut short with only 4 bullets, you snap at the commander "Where the hell is the rest of the clip?!"
"You tell me Soldier, get moving!"
Grimmacing in disgust you look for weapons that could be of use. Ah, the "Last Ditch" Knife. as you look at the knife, you see the single blade side, with 2cm jagged bottom. chuckling to yourself you dash back to your previous spot. You hear the same dog steps, and as they come closer, your breathing changes rhytms, getting shallower and silenter, as the footsteps stop, you see the "Parasite Detected, Code 27015" flash up on your helmet again, as you realize its a tracking devices, you whip the knife around the corner blindly, jsut as the alien leaps around the corner, and you are left with , The Other White Meat.
Well, you may have been in the same situation as me, Im here to tell you, that the knife is one of the best most veritile weapons. It does 30 damage, Umbra-Proof, and never has to reload. Here is a thread where I want to see some other peoples knifing expericences, or tips and tricks! HAve fun n post some stuff up.

I just switch to bite as a lerk and you die. I suppose you are lucky.
in the very first game of NS i played, i knifed an onos who was clawing our CC.... it survived with 0 health boxes left
i've lost count of the fatties i've knifed.
i've knifed about a dozen fades.... incredibly fun/funny/demoralizing to see
and i've stabbed more tahn my fair share of lerks, even the smart ones.
I've gotten several skulk kills bullfighting
in addition to the mandatory lerk, fade, onos etc ^^
Oh, and gotta love those underwater knife fights.
btw a skilled lerk will be able to bite you as well as if a skulk if you are that close.
