I've never really been into anime, but my friend showed me this the other day and even I have to say it's pretty cool. The artists combined anime techniques with computer animation techniques for a really sweet effect -the backgrounds are almost all CG, as well as a lot of the vehicles and the weapons. Like Akira with bullet-time, or something to that effect.
Beware the server though. Took me 2 hours and 103 retries on a cable modem to download a single 3-minute trailer. If you don't have the bandwidth for it, that I suggest you at least check out the pictures. They are pretty wicked sweet as well.
