need a little help
hey guys. I am tryin to make a NS movie, and I need to make the demo files I have into AVI's.

I know how to get the video portion. Startmovie blah 99, gotta use videomach to compress the images....but how do I get the audio? That part I dont understand. And also, if anyone knows anything about videomach, why is it that after the 1000th frame (give or take a few) everything turns to black and white? It doesnt make sense...

Thanks for any help that you guys can offer. If you cant help me in the situation, a point in the right direction would be most appreciated =)

(trying to think of more useful tutorials to write, so let me know!"

the black and white usually happens when you try to import too many bmps at once in vidmach. Try just importing around 500 at a time.

Probably because you have to register it................Encouraging illegal activity isn't quite the kind of thing I wanna see around here.

    and don't use:

    startmovie demo.dem 99

99 = the number of screenshots per second that your Half-Life engine is taking...30 or even 24 is more than enough ;-) Just make sure to configure VideoMach to run at that, or your speed will be off-timing from the real game.

    it is registered....

But yeah, I do use startmovie dem 99. You think the 99fps thing is throwing it off? So if I do startmovie dem 30, what do I have to change the FPS to in videomach? Do I have to change that to 30 as well, or can I keep it at 99? or leave it at default?

"Next, click the Video tab at the top to access the main video options. It shows the resolution of the bmps and if you want to crop, rotate, or even encode the bmps backwards. Where it says "Frame Rate (fps)" Automatic is checked. This needs to be UNCHECKED. Also make sure to uncheck "Keep Original Duration"."
