My map idea

So here's this idea I had. It may not be possible for NS Beta 1 because it's an outdoors map. Im not sure if they will have outdoor maps in Beta 1. Anyways, here it is.

Deep in the hostile, low life, cold wasteland(not snowy or icy though) of a planet, there is an outpost of marines attempting to hold an area and defend against awesome odds.

They have constructed a trench fortifacation system and constructed a crude base to go with it. Obviously, the marines have the advantage of a long line of sight with their guns, in addition to mounting external auto turrets.
The terrain around the base is also quite hilly.

The disadvantage? They have to look out for attacks on 4 fronts, and run the risk of aliens sneaking through their own defenses and stabbing them in the back when they least expect it.

The marines have their command center and several resource nodes safe within their trench system. They also have a small underground and above ground base.

The aliens on the other hand, live in a series of tunnels and caverns under the ground. These tunnels allow them to pop up all over the map, in addition to being rich in resource nodes.

The alien spawn is on the far east side of the map, in a very large underground cavern. Stuff like waterfalls and pits could really enhance these underground areas.

So each side has there own disadvantages and advantages.

It may be possible to have aliens be able to take one or two tunnels and pop up in the marine base. But these would have to be balanced somehow.
