My Crazy Defence Of A Hive In Trouble!

Ok so we had Sensory and Movement as our two first hive chambers. We just got the second one up when I saw at least 4 guys flying ontop of a hive with hivesight.

So I run my little legs and start to climb on the walls when I see FOUR guys with JP, two with HMGS and two w/o.

Then it started.. I ran up to the top of the hive, killed one guy, and ran. They tried to split up but they got caught by the roof, so I snipped one more who was having a hard time with the Jp. I see one sitting on a light attacking the hive, I Beline it to him and take him out, the last guy? Running away, so I bit his bum!


It Was Poo Vs the world, and Poo won!

    heheh one time I had adren as a gorge and I POWER healed a hive while it was being hit by 2 siges and an JP/HMG zlut.

    3 DCs right under it in satcom I sat on the DCs and healed straight up.. with 3 Movement chambers the adren allowed me to constantly heal it.. we managed to hold em off long enough to make 1 fade that killed the outpost.

    reminds me of the time i went crazy in the fusion hive <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> .
    The marines had a pg up and some were attacking the hive and some building. I dashed in as a skulik with celerity and carapace and proceded to defend single handedly the hive against lots of marine waves coming through the pg, by running around in circles biting madly <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->! I managed to keep it up until reinforcements arrived and trashed the bulidings. Just shows the worth of having healing buildings near by the combat areas.

    yah, I like hearing about the single alien saving the day, it is always fun ;D

    my best was in 1.0 when they managed to kill all of our first hive (due to no one defending and team stacking) I went gorge, built in maintenance (this was eclips)
    got the hive up, and just heavily defended the area (tons of OCs and DCs ;D) eventualy the teams evened out (was like 2 on 8 when I built the hive ;D) my 'mates took a second hive, I built it up and we just continued ;D

    I had one game on Nancy where the marines were sieging our defenses in Mother Interface from their outpost in the mess hall. I was gorge, and I managed to keep their siege busy for a very long time by building a DC, and constantly healing it between siege hits. It was a pretty simple matter to get the timing right. I would wait for the siege cannon to hit the DC, then I'd step towards it while spraying healing, then step back just as the siege fired again, so that I wouldn't take damage from the blast. I kept this up for what seemed like an eternity (at least 20 or 30 hit-heal-retreat cycles) until they smartened up and came to investigage why their siege kept firing at the same spot. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    This was 1.03 ... I'd never get away with it in 1.04 due to the line of sight requirement. The marines would figure out the ploy too quickly. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> It was just really funny to have one little gorge reducing the effectiveness of a siege to nothing, keeping it busy while the fades took out the TF.
