Soooo... which is better, the new Klipsch ProMedia® GMX D-5.1, or the older Klipsch ProMedia 5.1?
The new GMX is a cool $299.00, while the older 5.1 is still up around $399.00 from Best Buy (Klipsch has it on backorder).
Price comparison would lead most to believe the older 5.1 is still supreme, but perhaps Klipsch implemented a new pricing scheme?
For that matter, is Klipsch even the king anymore? After the ProMedias first came out (I am still using one of these, the old 4.1's), there was an explosion of 4.1 and 5.1 surround sound systems for PC's. Altec, Logitech and Creative all jumped on the bandwagon and produced some comparitive systems.. but what comes out on top? Any thoughts on any of these questions?
And don't say "I only use headphones." I know headphones are good.. I plan to use them as well, but am still curious about the Klipsch. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
