<div class="IPBDescription">GAH</div> I run a server. I am lanned to the server, in fact it is my gateway.

I get quite a lot of regulars there, it's generally a good place to play.

I love to play there on the 2 weeknights I get to do so (when my wife is out)

WHY THE F*** IS WON ALWAYS DOWN WHEN I WANT TO PLAY!!?!?!?!?!?!


I find it totally unacceptable that they have no backups when their servers go down. I can't even access my server via LAN even though I'm behind it on the net I MEAN FFS!!!!!!

    Ah that must be the cause of my problem. i cant connect to any servers using the console. The multiplayer search returns no servers of any mod! need NS fix... going... MAD!

    - It has swallowed hours of my life and replaced them with fun

    you know what?
    WON is a free service. You don't pay a dime for it.

    Won is not 'Always Down', infact won is rather stable (especialy for the type of load that it handeles). It is not like for every person they have playing they have more $$ to run servers, no they simply have more stress.

    if you want to see buggy and inconsistant, go look at some free mmorpgs, or BNet.

    so what, won has had some bugs crop up in it recently, they are working on fixing them SO CALM DOWN AND STOP POSTING THE SAME TOPIC WHEN THERE ARE FIVE JUST LIKE IT WITH THE SAME MINDLESS DRIVELL BEING SPUEWED OUT OF THEM!

    why should it be down??? Why is there no backup??

    I mean GOOD GOD think of the number of sales of HL they mae, it must have made a tidy profit. Not to mention other games that use WON.
    No-one ever thought of adding a backup?

    I run my server out of my pocket - that's not free but it's free to the people who are currently playing on it.

    @jones, these down times tend not to last longer then a few days. It went down yesertday, and came back up again also. They are probably doing some maintenance or something (probably for our benifit so that it runs better, but nah that couldn't be they are just trying to screw us over, yah thats it)

    no, I just can survive oh,, a few months with out playing video games.

    Hell, you really think that my $20 for HL GotY edition realy went twords keeping the won servers up? try again man, try again.

    I would also point out that there are still about 5 othere threads in this forum alone (2 more in tech suport, one is off topic and I tihnk one in new players)

    just live with it. Instead of beeing stupid and yelling at peopel who don't care, go play another game
    If you realy MUST play a good game use this:

    And yes, the won servers are free. if they were not free, you would be paying a few $s amonth, imagine that. Actualy having to pay for HL OL, I tihnk I would die. So give it a rest. They will be back up soon enugh. Honestly I remember about one other event like this happeneig any time reacently.
    Hell, my colleges LAN is hells of more flakey then wonservers AND I PAY FOR THAT (yes, tuition, a recuring sum of money that is ussed to pay for ALL of the colleges operationg costs).

    Oh well, what ever, if yalls can't live with out NS for a few days, there is somthing wrong.
