Give whatever crits and comments you wish. he's still in progress and is currently at around 900 polies, I hope to reduce that number by the end, or at least get some more detail in his toes, tail, and eye area

looks rather nice, how high up in the poly's are we talking?
also, do i hear a farm pack comming? 3/5 isn't too bad, any ideas on the onos and fade (asuming that the cockroach is the skul)
but anyway, wanna send me the latest PIG, and where your at on the chicken.... please, only files on the pig for now...
The spikes are feathers. Eggs can't spike fast/far/straight enough. imagine steel feathers or something

ill probly run from that thing it certainly looks deadly.
Right now the polycount is around 900.... I plan on shaving it down, even though it isn't THAT much I suppose...
As for the farm pack... yes I am planning to create one. Right now the plan for the farm pack is as follows
Gorge=pig (duh)
lerk=chicken (duh again)
onos = cow (it'll come eventually after the chicken is finished)
fade = scarecrow (no it won't be a farmer, if I make a farmer model it would be for the marines)
skulk = ? (there have been quite a few ideas passed around about the skulk, my favorites right now have to be the tomcat and the bunny ideas though. Other options are sheep and whatever else was brought up)
The pig is at the same progress it was at when the thread for him died out, he can be found at <a href='http://members.rogers.com/roadm/images/piggorg.zip' target='_blank'>http://members.rogers.com/roadm/images/piggorg.zip</a> but remember, he is NOT a final release.... I still haven't fixed the hind legs and I don't plan to for a while at least.... and if I REALLY get some time after I finish the other models I would probably also reanimate the piggorge.... although I don't do much animating, the death sequence really needs something else <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Thanks for all the enthusiasm... as well as the confused posts consisting of "..." I haven't decided what the chicken will shoot, but it will either be seeds or feathers. I agree that shooting eggs is a bit "out there"... on the other hand I don't know how well feathers would look considering HL doesn't support transparent textures
I say next you do a bull for Onos. Maybe an ostrich Fade for lack of a better bipedal animal that you could see on a farm. Can't wait for you to finish these!
and yes, the chicken model that already exists is nasty, hence why it's not on my site... i would attempt to beat you down for the release of the new good-ness model, but it's not that near, or dear to my heart, i can wait like the good little freak that i am...
anyway, props to the ostrach, i was thinking EMU, but ohh well... and umm, ever think of a pigmy pony? those sukka are scarier than anything else that sixe (idea for something gorg/skulk size)

New image of chickenlerk here..... just posting this as a reply because some people don't check page 1 of the thread even though I change the images... I fixed up the legs a bit, played with the tail, got eyes, and fixed a little thing I didn't like in the neck.... as well as the wings. This thing is over 1000 polies now... but I'm not sure how much I'll lower it when I'm done... I've been looking at the NS models and they are pretty high poly as well. Heck, I'm thinking of adding MORE detail to piggorge now that I've seen the default NS model polycounts. I was really surprised that the skulk was over 1000 polies, and that marines were over 2500....
