<div class="IPBDescription">My cl_rate keeps reseting during game</div> I began having this problem last night. I usually have my rate at about 3000 but for some reason it keeps resetting itself to 9999.9999 in the middle of game. This gives me the overflow error and I have to reset my rate and then recconect to the server. How can I get it to stay put at 3000?

make a file called autoexec.cfg and in it type in rate 3000
should help =D

Thanks. Any specific folder that this should go in? I'm assuming that its supposed to be wordpad as well.

EDIT: I just tried this and it doesn't work. I may be doing something wrong. A little more help on the subject will probably fix it (I hope).

I think autoexec.cfg is autorun by the dedicated server, I am pretty sure the client now ignores it. Take a look in the half-life/ns folder and find the file config.cfg. See if it has cl_rate set, if so change the setting there and then write protect the file. If not add <b>cl_rate 3000</b>, and possibly <b>bind "F11" "cl_rate 3000"</b>
This should fix the cl_rate to 3000 on start and if an admin runs clientexec to reset it for you, just hit F11 to change it back. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Whenever I open the Config.cfg in the NS folder it just starts Counter-Strike up. I can't if I put in "bind F11 cl_rate 3000" it doesn't do anything yet "bind F11 cl_rate" works just fine. THis is getting really anoying and I don't even get why it keeps resetting the rate in the first place.
