"-pingboost 3" On Linux

and it seems to be get lower pings about 30-100, but slightly increaseed choke in late game.

i don't know "-pingboost 3" is the best setting.
does anyone know details of the pingboost command?

    Anybody else implemented this yet, now your pings are unbeleivable, do you mean that that is how much the pings are reduced by, or what they are? I think you mean that's how much they are reduced by.


    Any other ops have anything to say about this?

    pingboost settings vary from server to server..

    try pingboost 2 or 1 even. You might find better results in those than in 3

    I've been using pingboost 1. Setting 2 or 3 (I forget which) actually increases CPU usage which, in theory, will make your server <b>worse</b> off than if you used no pingboost at all (running NS anyway). At least, that's what I found on my server.

    When I had a linux server -pingboost 2 was the best option for me... low cpu usage, stable and slightty better pings. This may not be true in other systems..
