Help With Soundcard Please

I just joined a clan, and they use TeamSpeak but I'm having a big problem with my soundcard. I have a Sound Blaster PCI its a very plain card and I have the latest drivers. The problem is only certain programs work with it and NS is not one of them. Winamp works fine, but stuff like NS and ICQ doesn't. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear em:

Thank you

Same sound card as mine...and same problem as mine.

When you say DOESNT WORK....do you mean that it works for short periods of time...and then the sound goes away?

Have you checked in dxdiag to see if any faults are reported? Start>>Run>>Dxdiag[ENTER]
Do you have the fancy soundblaster software loaded or just the plain drivers? Just the drivers makes for better reliablility.
What other devices do you have i your system? (PCI and ISA)
and finally what opperating system are you running?
Skitzo - your problem sounds a bit like an IRQ problem. Are you using Win95/98? Disable legacy support and check for conficts.
