Grenade Launcher >>> Hmg ?!

<div class="IPBDescription">w00t!</div> I decompiled the grenade launcher to edit it ( delete scope , ect ) when i wanthed to load the ref i noticed its name ( like in the movies i first ignored it when 1 second later i went too look again whit my eye's pealed open) HMG_REF. w00t! Did this mean that the ns team were intended to have this as the hmg? It makes sens becaus of the 2 barrels.

    yes when they were testing the mod, they used it as a HMG, but then made it into a GL

    It doesn't look like a machine gun, it's more like a rifle.

    Yes, actually, I was here when they showed RC screenshots with the Grenade launcher model (modern one) being held with around 100 bullets in it.

    Yep . . . that was the original hmg. Then, when the magazine size was increased, it was eventually ditched due to believability issues (I know, we weren't going for 'realism', but to pretend that <i>that</i> mag held 150 rounds??)

    At any rate, there's yet another version of that kicking around, where the rear mag was replaced with a large drum positioned immediately in front of the trigger. I don't even know if that max file exists anymore.

    But as has been stated, that model was used as the gl simply so we could get the game out on time, as it was an acceptable sub until an original was produced. Speaking of, back to work . . .
