One thing you completely forgot to add is the symbiot on the fade's shoulder... you know, the "flower" thing that launches acid rockets and bile bombs? Just adding that alone would go a long way to making this look more like a fade.

Three things to say:

1) I like what you've done w/ the drawing. Doesn't seem too cute, but looks neato.
2) That new photoshop sure looks like crap
3) Holy crap how do you do any photoshoping in such a crappy slow res?

Chibi literaly 'small mischievous one'
basicaly it is something often done in anime, make a small rather out of proportion (large head, stuff like that), hideously cute version of a char

my res is small cos meh monitor wont support the higher res's with decent enough refresh rate.

i like anime, but i always found it disturbing that the japanese seem to make most of their characters appear to be some **** hybrid of a child and a kitten. if you know what i mean, if you dont look at practically anime character and youll see they have big eyes large heads and a tweaked pointy nose. they have a bizarre fascination with distorting the human image. and as a cultural artform it appears the japanese have a self loathing of their own appearance, most of the anime characters (human) are non japanese and most if not all have that fine nose (non characteristic of a real japanese person) if i was a psychologist i could probably do a thesis on this, but im not <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>

Yes, they do use alot of 'western' stuff but that is due to some very interesting things in their past.
And if you will allso see alot of idolized japenese stuff in American and other 'western' cultures (hell I am a japanophile ;D)

and yes, chibi IS cute (go read my other post) we just use it worngliy on the forums
