<div class="IPBDescription">Would be great if someone could help out</div> anyways. I started on my map (which is going to r0ckz0rz b0x0rz) and i want to run around in it. just to see how things look and feel (ambience and sizes). Now i have put some sort of cube like n00bish total crap ready room with one spawn and 2 team choices. Also i have 3 hives,1 comm entity, one spawn for each team and even a res spot =P.

I have looked up ns map essentials and thats pretty much it.

It doesnt give any compile errors and i have the command line where it starts ns when running the map.

( -dev -console -game ns +set deathmatch 1 ) ------correct?

It loads all sorts of things in the console but in the end when server is build and about to join the game i get thrown out.

any help?

thanks anyways (felt great to type it all....)

    I use

    -console -game ns +sv_lan 1 +maxplayers 16

    Should work <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    toothy i love you! thnx for the help allthough it wasnt needed anymore =P

    My comm line works too.

    anyways it was something with textures and i fixed it. Hammer never mentioned it but it was my knowledge of how things work in the world of things that work that i got it to work like i wanted it to work.

    =D

    bye bye im out.

    Oh, I figured it would have been that "+set deathmatch 1" part in the commandline.... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    My launch line in Hammer is:
    -game ns -nojoy -nointro -console +cl_updaterate 30 +cl_cmdrate 40
    +fps_max 100 +rate 5600 +sv_cheats 1 +developer 1

    (<i>...split into two lines...</i>)

    Why do you need to set your rates there, when presumably they'll be in your config?

    Honestly, I have no idea!! I don't even know what half of those things do. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I simply did a copy-and-paste from my modified NS link on the desktop, and that was the result. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    rrcon maybe has a leak and should check the compile log.

    Well, you don't need to set any of the rates, firstly <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    That counts for your desktop icon too.

    You don't need -nojoy or -nointro, or -fps_max either <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Saying that, there's no harm in having them.

    I got most of those adjustments from through <a href='http://www.tweak3d.net/tweak/halflife/' target='_blank'>this</a> tweak guide, and it really makes a difference in the performance.

    (got the link from <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=10&t=5334' target='_blank'>this</a> post by Monse).
