i think you can just re-name your crosshair sprites....but i'm not sure...
D/L someone else's cross's....
pay attention the the file names, and either unzip into a different folder, copy your in, and rename them, or pay good attention
there is "SOME" code that needs to be edited... just let somone else do it for you...
that's the easiest fix i can think of, and if it doesn't work, i'm out of ideas...

Well going to take little extra time since I need to change the sprite some to.
copy that line over the original in any weapon.txt you want it to replace <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
oh and btw it has nothing to do with programming <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
EDIT: oh, and change crosshair_name to the filename of the crosshair <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

In the Zip file theres
1. The Sprite file
2. A Read Me with instructions <span style='color:Red'>(Very Important)</span>
3. All the Weapon .txt files with code modified for the Sprite
4. A screenshot of it in action

Your welcome. Need anything else just ask.
Also changing any code is considered programming. That is part of the code technically because it is read and executed by the engine. I program for Torque engine.
I haven't ever played TFC, so i don't know what kind of a crosshair you are talking about <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
