Originally I though the icons would show up in 1.04 once the setup was created but now its not until 1.1? awwww I want my blue dude (I'm guessing he's the icon at the bottom of the Const. page?)
actually, they will probably get it. just as long as you send the proper documentation with it. but i would wait for a reply from flayra on that one.

Allthough I have a question. When this game becomes REALLY popular, (it allready is but) what stops people from making cheats wich give them icons? The famous OGC hack, can hack everything serverside. With this, the icon thingy would be obsolete.

I'm feeling really dopey. I've donated $20 via my PayPal account (which had been dormant for nearly 2 years <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ), but where was I supposed to put my WONid? In the struggle to resurrect my PayPal account (expired credit card, dead e-mail address etc), I forgot it, and don't remember even been asked for it.
Also I hope some money goes to the animators, wuvu unnamed heros :-D . I am just glad we can do something to speed up development. Oh the possibilities of NS are astounding. The command mode alone is the greatest thing I have ever seen in any game mod ever, and I have played a lot of mods. You could of sold the idea of NS to Sierra or EA and won game of the year I bet. Simply an amazing job, my check is in the mail and I want to thank everyone at the NS team... specially those unnamed heros =D
I have been playing NS for about 4 months and i think being ask to CONTRIBUTE $20 to help with devolpment and costs is nothing really for PC game of this standard.
I have wasted more money on sub standard games that i hardly played.

Thanks to everyone who posted such nice things here. While the expenditure wasn't in the 100K range as Grendel estimated, it was still well into the 5 figures over the 2 year period. Heck, I think Flay shelled out almost $10,000 on sound alone between the libraries and the voiceovers which were done in a pro studio. Anything you send to these starving NS church mice really helps them out (I stay out of it, as I make a good living unlike these dirty hippys).
For bonus points, have a special badge show up on a marine player's armor if he contributes. I've been thinking it would be cool if people could put a clan badge on the shoulder of their armor, but this would work too.

The idea of having patches on marine armor would be cool.
