Photoshop 7 Help

<div class="IPBDescription">Please?</div> Okie, I want to make a Sig, and I found this neat tutorial on www.yaxay.com. I know, I'm an idiot, but I haven't used PhotoShop's better half in years.

Due to my boredom I kept trying, I got to the step where it says I need to make a "Swirly" shape, but when I try, nothing appears on the canvas. That's where I need help now.

It's not Spaming, it's creative bumping of my own topic. I want someone to help me, but no one cares to look. Also, this is the only Tutorial I know of that does that effect.

Lucky for you I saw this, I <i>never</i> read the artwork forum.

The screen he's using here can be found by selecting the paintbrush tool, next look up to the top right of photoshop and you should see 2 tabs [File Browser] and [Brushes] I believe. Thats the "brush modifying" screen you're looking for. To change the options, click on the words on the left side list (click the checkbox to enable those options, click the word beside the checkbox to view the options).

I just finished the tutorial and yeah, it *was* fun.
The brush defining part needs some practice before you get good at it tho.
Nice effect, tho the tutorial isn't very user-friendly.

Can you draw with the standard brushes? Are you drawing on the right layer? (You did set the foreground color of course, right?)

I've tried all the layers, and I can use the brush just fine otherwise.

Make sure you're not coloring in white.

lol med... yeah but seriously liku, LOTS of your posts are bumps/spam. don't bump your own thread someone told me once... but yeah i dont like that all too much. its cool and sparkly and all, but i just dont like it..

Ok, here's what's going on. Here's the steps I did, and I still can't draw the "Swirly" Shape...

New document
Fill - Black
New Layer
Add brush dots/stars
Ctrl+C the layer
Define Brush
Delete Layer
Suit my Brush Needs
New Layer

Now, I can't draw on the canvas. I tried selecting a color and the Color's on the Tool Window aren't what I chose, the're ranging from White to Black.

Are you using the new brush? Can you normally paint? Have you tried using a default brush?

I just tried the color again, and it's not working now. Is there a Grey Scale option that might me on?
