greatest game ever
Sam and Max is the greatest game ever next to Deus Ex, but all I have is an old power mac copy. If anyone can link me or hook me up with a copy of my long lost favorite game please inform.
I have 2 copies of the original game (one came in a 3 pk with DOTT and Fate of Atlantis), I have played that thing to death so many times I used to be able to remember evey single quote, I havent played it in awhile, but now Im getting nostalgic and want to play it again!!
Max was the greatest character ever in a game, and all of his guest appearances in Lucasarts game just made it better.
You can get it here for a price from the lucasarts company store.
what sucks is though even though I still have it, It doesn't work under windows. at all. or a windows dos prompt. i'd have to atually install DOS 5.0 to get it working :/
yes, I will be vengeful too!! This game has the best dialouge of all time, they just don't make dialouge like this anymore. I want the jolly roger max head for my avatar, that would pwn!! This is still my favorite game of all time. There supposed to be another one coming out for the Xbox, but it will never live up to the original (plus its on the Xbox ).
I couldn't do it until like next monday, its at my house and im at my dorm now, whic really depresses me becasue nostalgia is kicking in and now I have an itch to scratch!!
scummVM Something my brother found... it's a program that makes those great old lucas arts games work with sound and everything, under windows... it even has video filters and hardware acceleration support! Be sure to check it out!

Max: Nobody we know at least.

Now I wanna play the game again. Gah.
You guys had it on CD-ROM right? so it had voice sound and everything too? that was great hearing the characters heh. I pray that the same people do the voices.
I tried scummVM about 3 or 4 months ago, but it had severe problems w/ stuff. like the cardboard box you couldn't click close, and you couldn't save your game, and the sound sometimes broke. :/
And in a related note, I need to get my hands on Maniac Mansion...
In another related note, I can't verify this but I think the voice for the USA Commanche Helicopter in Generals is voiced by none other than the guy who voiced Sam! :O It sounds a whole lot like him anyway...

Bill Farmer is Sams voice, he does alot of voice work for disney, but I didn't see him for command and conquer generals, but I looked at it and it showed no one for voices. Maybe its just too new to know yet.
I look this stuff up at IMDB, which is not just for movies, type in your favorite video game and then it tells you who did what voice and what else they have been in.
