<div class="IPBDescription">Space Marine Bolt Pistol</div> Well, I can't animate nor skin, but here's my next weapon, a bolt pistol to replace the default pistol. (Once again, modeled after the minature bolt pistol, that's why it's square looking in some places.)

Unless there was a new bolt pistol designed by Games Workshop in the past 4 years, this is the up to date ver. I'll probably work on a heavy bolter for an hmg replacement next.

EDIT: My reference pic is at <a href='http://planetfortress.com/tf2models/previews/Battle%20Grounds%2040K/BoltPistol_Large.jpg' target='_blank'>http://planetfortress.com/tf2models/previe...istol_Large.jpg</a>

EDIT EDIT: I left the trigger out of this and the bolter due to creative liscense <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> The models didnt have them after all <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Screw the trigger, you have to remove the whole handle to get it on the marines!

you don't need to model the screws, they can be skinned on <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

Yah, I know, I just figurted since it wasent a high poly model already, may as well put some nice detail in where I can fit it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

EDIT: Oh, yeah, two things: First of all, I'm thinking of re-doing the bolter to add a little more detail here and there. My question is, do you want the old style bolter, or the new style?

Second, Anyone have any suggestions what I should do about a gren launcher and a shotty?

i'm not a WH40K player, in fact, the closest i ever got was a WH style game called "Space Marines" except this one was a TON faster (10-20 min per game...INCLUDING setup)...

i like the bolter, if your worried about low polies (which isn't a real big concern) you might want to dull down the corners of the gun, no corners come that sharp, and it's guarenteed that after a few days of use out in the feild, that your gunna file them down so your not stabbing yourself every time you holster that puppy....

Well, as I said (this is understandable since you never played the game) I was going for model continuity, and not realism. In actual fact, the space marines wore power armour, so it would be impossible to stab yourself, and they normally did not carry pistols (soldiers had bolters, officers had bolt pistols.) So they didnt really holster them much at all.

well, sounds to me like hell.... "never put down your weapon"....and if your never putting it down, would there be scratches on it?
