General Question About The Current Models

Well, I was bored and went through the model animations in HLMV and I noticed that afew of the Marine building models have full death animations (The seige, Turret, Arms Lab, Resource thing and Turret Factory infact) and I was wondering; Is this a thing that was going to be implemented but was taken out in the later stages of the game in favor of that little puff of smoke sprite animation? Or is it a thing to come in the near future? Cause i quite like the Resource things death animations <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> The others, well, the TF, have something to be done with <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I've noticed this too and i think it's cool.... But if that's going to be implemented, make sure the buildings stay there on the ground until something is built upon it, that's a better time to start the puff sprite... But that's my opinion....

    ::my idea of what that animation was for::

    as a skuls is munching in a turret, once he gets it to a certain place (all red) it "dies", does it's little animation... and stops working... it's still there, still built, so if the skulk leaves the turret alone... a marine can come along, weld it up, and it'll work again...

    but than again, that's just my idea of why it's there, and i'm just making this up (just got out of bed).... yes it would be kinda cool, but hard to do...anyway

    That would be kind of a neat idea... like with the tribes turrets... only these you can destroy completely.

    There were some last minute problems getting some of the animations to play properly. Since they are compiled within the models themselves, they are visible in a model viewer, but not hooked ingame. Only 1.1 will tell...
