Commander Kills?

RueRue Join Date: 2002-10-21 Member: 1564Members

Would it help?
I was playing on a server where a commander build 6 IPs and 2 armourys 'Just so we had enough' anyway i got him kicked from comm and the rest of the team where mad at him and happy he had gone, so i went comm and told all my team (7) to go to a rest point out side of base.

the same guy that was comm said 'no commander we are going to main hive' i told him we need res fast and he had almost lost us this match allready , but still 5 out of 6 people followed him..... i gave them all waypoints apart from the guy that went there , they all just followed the old comm. they all died and then ran back and died...and run back and died....
i managed to get jp's and hmg but i only gave the guy that went to the wp them.

they only thing i could think when they were going the other way from where i said i wanted to be able to kill them or slap and hurt them as commander , after all they live for the commander.

i know its been descused before but do u think adding this would make NS more team based because they have to do what the comm says or do u think it would stop people from playing it and even give it a bad name?

Could be useful, but ONLY if the comm is actually a responsible/non-vindictive person. If some prat grabs the comm console just so he can slap the entire team "for fun", the whole idea will suck. However, for keeping idiot players in line it would be a great help...

In a perfect world, right next to "Kick Commander" there would be a "Stop Commander From Slappage", but I don't think we are ever getting a commander slap anyways

Some people are old, some are new, you are new. Please do not flame people for suggesting ideas... :/

I like the idea of this, aswel as the idea of "Stop Slay button" Or something along the lines of that.

such a option is really needed on many servers BUT i think the eject commander button should be then useable more than once and it should take more votes to eject the com (actually it only needs 30% afaik)

This is when you hop out of commander chair, say "you don't follow me, get a new comm" and have fun being rambo for the rest of the short match.

If I feel very, very confident that I have made myself clear in both text and voice, and my reasoning is not risky, my plan is sound, and I am the commander, and 5 out of 6 marines on my team disobey me... AND are given a second chance/command/redemption... AND they STILL dont listen? I recycle everything and build CCs all over the map until I run out of resources or get booted. Then I leave and go find a new server.

Harsh, childish? Yeah. But it makes me a little bit better, it replaces some of the grin on my face that the marines stole.

But it leaves you feeling hollow inside. And that's sad. That's when I bust out my gorge plush doll, and shortly I know everything's gonna be alright.

You can still make life difficult because you can open/close doors and control ramps...

any idea would be to have 2 types of WP... say blue and red..if a marine does not compleat a red WP in a set time he'll be frozen for 10 seconds once every minute till he compleates it. so if a comm wants a marine to check out an area that could be hostile he can set a blue WP cos the marine may not be able to do it cos of heavy resistace or what ever but if a com wants someone to walk 10 feet and build a res node they can set a red one..get me?

These are all good and creative suggestions.
    However, they have one flaw.
People that does not listen to orders will probably not be more attentive if you use the whip.
The best way would be to figure out a way to use the carrot in a cunning way, but that is the hard part...

You can already punish marines who dont obey orders by depriving them of equipment.... Bribery is also a great commanders tool for getting marines to follow orders!

yes this is probably the biggest marine problem in pubs.. People dont listen to comm so how can marines possibly win?

I think there should be a plugin that lets commanders slay/slap their marines.. Server operators can set only trusted regulars to have this available when they comm

but yeah if there was a comm slay that just anyone can have then i guarantee it would be abused badly and ns will be worse because of it

I think that a commander slap would be the perfect reprimand for not following orders! Sometimes there is a guy who just doesn't get that NS is about teamplay. Since we aren't all going to go to a completely different server... Just SLAP! the guy till he learns or leaves.
