All These Request Topics...

I'm kind of sick of seeing them. For every 10 requests topics, I MAYBE see one release topic. Doesn't that tell you people something?
Suggestion to the admin, make a reqeust subforum, that way people don't have to dig through 20 requests just to get to an ACTUAL model release. Looks at http://forums.firearmsmod.com They enforce the rule that requests go only into the request forum, and it keeps things tidy.

wud be better if we did have a request forum.
Uhh...I think you're missing the point. It would be nice to have requests seperate from releases or WIPs. This would involve a lot less digging, as well as a lot less 'TRY USING THE SEARCH FUNCTION' posts.
Perhaps you should read the post before responding.

this also would increase those requests getting done by 50%,because 99% time, the request threads fall to the everlasting void until they get deleted(see my Jaffa Model request thread,i just need someone to convert those 2 bad boys to NS Marine skeleton, and compile the 2 badboys to mdl after fitting to NS skeleton is done by some person)
why i don't like it:
- most of them would be cast away, never to be read
why i DO like it:
- it would clean up the forums
- it would let the WIP's and REL's dominate the forums
- it would also give more emphasis on the HELP threads, letting more and more people learn how to model
- it would give more space to have a place to discuss models, not requests but "what do you think about using _____ as the hmg verses _____?"
My point exactly.

Happens quite often anyways.
and yes, they get cast away. exactly. why have an empty forum?
i read before i posted. you should think before you do the same.
so there isnt a whole lot going on
There are a lot of tutorials flying around out there, as well as a decent selection of free software / shareware tools.
At least have a bash at doing it yourself?
I'm going to assume that most modellers have a limited amount of time to spare, so the chances of someone dropping their own personal projects to work on yours instead seem fairly low, especially considering how few modellers there are here..
you're not being forced to read the request posts.
I am curious vec, what have you modeled??
For one thing, he's modelled the M4 with M203 grenade launcher [did I identify that right?] in his sig, I suspect, but he's also made a few releases around here. Do a search for any posts made by him using the Search link at the top right of any of the pages around here.
