Is it me or is that shotgun a little too small....

the HMG is huge and the shotgun looks sooooooo small.
i dont know but i expected the shotgun to look a little bigger please dont flame just explain <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->

I think the model for the shotgun is a placeholder.  They will eventually replace it with a meatier shottie.

It is modeled, but I haven't seen an animated version yet.

Are "shotgun" and "scattergun" the same thing?  I believe i saw referances to "scattergun" on the site previously.

Highlander, i don't think there are plans for a scattergun yet, currently the weapon list is this:

Pistol
LMG
Shotgun
HMG
Grenade Launcher
Mines
Nuke
Welder

I'm pretty sure that's it for the moment, however i would like to see a few things, a AR33ish weapon, a auto-shotty, and maybe a LAW rocket <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I love that shotgun concept. It has got to be the coolest looking weapon design I have ever seen in my life... A small tidbit, dude, the shotguns sound, for NS, is incredibly awesome, it makes it feel like your shooting a rocketlauncher, its so powerful sounding. <b><span style='color:red'>This sound is subject to change.  Check main site news update for details.</b></span>

The shotgun is your friend. You must worship it. Name your son "NS shotty". Build a shrine to it in your back yard. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with the shotty. A printup of the NS shotty will replace the picture of your mother by your bedstand.

I now anounce the formation of the NS SHOTTY FAN CLUB! sure, we may not have fancy shmancy signature like htose other fan clubs, but we have shottys, and thats all you need. .. and love.

Whenever I play CS all I use is the M3 Benelli, pump action shotguns all the way.  And an auto-shotty is a bad idea, it'll just end up branded as a n00b-cannon,like the CS auto-shotty, plus it's silly.  The powaaa is in the pump!

I think the current model is a fair depiction of a shotgun's size. I don't think we'll truly know until it's seen in game... all the TSA weapons look a little on the huge side to me.

Big Bulky Weapons give you a nice masculine feeling (no offense to the female gender). Prove to everyone that you can carry this heavy block of metal and blast aliens away with it. I like big guns, but not to the extent of not being able to see in front of me, but also noticing the fact that I haven't seen the actual In-Game view of this weapon, I have no choice but to say "Leave it as it is".

To my knowledge, the shotgun hasn't been implemented - they're still using the HL shotty for the moment.

I know I've seen the hl shotty p_model in playtest pics. Don't know about the v_model one, though it's likely they haven't put in the ns one since they haven't shown any shots.
