Your best bet is to start with an infantry portal, armory, radar tower, and motion tracking (in that order)
If you can not count on your marines thinking fast enough to shot an alien they see coming down a hallway you can always put one or two turrets, but if you know they arent good to start you know you will loose. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
If you argue who is comm in, booting them for no reason until all of the comms that are good are kicked, then some n00b takes over and by then you are most likely dead. (Dedicated to Martini)

(Nothing else here) Aliens shouldnt die at all, they are extremely over powered. <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo-->

The ever increasing popularity of aimbot scripts and such are increasing so dont be surprised at all to see aliens like fades/gorges who will use them because they have no skill, same goes for marines that stink. <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
If you think someone is using cheats, most likely they are not. But if they are shooting you dead on every single shot, or shooting sideways as a gorge, or fade they most likely are. They really dont care what you do, banning them, kicking, yelling. They wont care. You just gotta know that they really stink, and will go mess with other people in another server or just keep finding a way into yours! <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    cheats wouldn't be useful as a fade. afaik it's the same reason you never saw a cheating solly on tfc - the cheats can't aim just in front of the enemy to hit them as they run <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Actually cheats and scripts can be changed enough so that if they added locational damage for this game... (weak points) that the script will aim your gun/acid rocket at them. Basically ruining the fun for any player that is just trying to have some fun.

    this isn't really how many games are played. This is just one big opinion, i for one dont think aliens are over powered and that turrets help alot.

    I don't think that you should get MT right after the obs goes up, I usually wait until a hive is secured first.

    Learn how to script, it takes 5 minutes. Learn what is possible and what is not possible with a script, understand the generally accepted definition of a script, then come back and edit your posts.

    let's not forget that this is as much a strategy game as it is a FPS. In most any strategy game there are tactics that work like a charm and so everyone is going to employ them; but that's the end of the game, is it?

    Nay, Natural Selection offers a good helping of open ended gameplay that we all love so very very much, as it should. And the game will continually become more fun and open ended as balancing issues are settled and gameplay nears a completed state. So don't say every game is a cookie cutter when it's not and does not have to be.

    I don't lay a finger on turets untill I have a hive and I plan on keeping it.
