Vertical Smartgun

<div class="IPBDescription">thats a little odd?</div> I just installed avp2_smartgunv20 which comes with a smartgun in 2 views and a ha/soldier enabled modles... but ingame when I was testing them out, a JP flew by holding the smartgun vertically.

Looks like the hands were in the right spot for actually holding it... but the smartgun was floating slightly in front of him in a vertical position.

Any ideas for a solution?

Also, on a side note, which AVP2 aliens 1-5 model pack do you like the best? I have the metalicpack and I like it, but I want to be sure I get a chance to see the "best."

    yeah..install models with smartgun animations

    id sayd INSTALL them...i mean with that, be sure you have the models on the right place.

    smartgun enabled models dont do this

    And yes Mcn00b, I picked up 2 new enabled modles, but from my experience with CS modles... W_model concistancy has to do with where the weapon is on youre Player. (I don't know if flay changed that particular part of code but I don't remember seing t.mdl stuff and _ha_ns stuck at the end of modle names)

    Exactly Sheena, do you have any correct smartgun modles you can link to? mine only came with V_hmg.mdl and V_hmg_hv.mdl!


    And at that, my offer still stands. Can anyone suggest a good aliens alien modle pack... I have the metalicpack?

    Im pretty sure the problem is the jump animation. During the jump animation all models areheld the same way. You dont notice the difference normal but the special positioning of the smartgun make it act funny. Normally this will just mean it looks like you're lifting the gun a bit when you jump and is fine but if your flying around using one frame from the jump animation its obvious that you're holding it wrong. There's no way to fix this without screwing up the rest of the models so I'd get used to it.

    yeah even the fixed models have this odd jump animation
