Downloadable file please. And my congrats. I intend on replicating some of this for a high school project, with your premission of course <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> .
Fireteams work better for NS than for CS. It's true for both Aliens and marines.
The trick with CS is to work in squads: One man in front, 2-4 following, down each of the "ways" to your end goal. If you try to work as a firesquad, your shots will be horribly innacurate (only count on the first 2 shots each time you shoot a gun) when laying down covering fire, and it also announces your presence, which will attract more hostiles to you. The only time you want this is if you're playing decoy.
Amazing study, reminds me of why I like college more than high school (despite the price tag).

The demo files (and half my Sierra folder for anyone who cares) is corrupted dont ask me how. When I click on anything in the Sierra folder I get a warning box with a yellow triangle and a ! sign. I am just as dissapointed as anyone else becasue it was really cool and now I cant show them off to everyone. As of right now I am on Spring break for the week and my PC is in my dorm in another state. I was able to post my study b/c I had emailed it to myself before I left. Im writing this post on a lap top at home.
If you are a skeptic and dont belive the information in my study by all means don't. That is your affair. I put this information up because I thought it would be interesting. I fully agree that the demos would have been great. As of right now I cant even play NS, or DOD, or anything Sierra-Half Life realted. Its probably do to some custom skins I have or people mesing with files over the college network. Ill just have to reinstall everything when I return this weekend. Hopefully Ill be back up playing by Monday.
My Deepest Apologies to everyone for not being able to post the demos and Thank you all for the positivie feedback. -Cpl.Davis <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> Too bad the demos are corrupted...

A few of my friends and I tried playing CS using military tactics. We are (or were perhaps) not bad at the game or anything, so that wasn't the issue. We got owned by a single bunnyhopping rambo (how can they shoot like that when jumping around anyway? Isn't jumping supposed to *reduce* accuracy to random spraying across the screen?). We were also called campers/cowards by everyone else.
US Army is quite good though. Rambo in that game and you're dead. Ghost Recon was pretty good as well, but still not good enough. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> It's the teamwork and following orders parts of the training that helps the most.
As for CS, it used to be a much more strategic game. Pace was slower and people complaining about "camping" were almost non-existant. Then they made it more "accessible" to the public. =(
/me misses docks.
Anyway, in NS moving along spread out (different sides of the hallway) and covering each other really is best as marine. You don't block each other's line of fire and you can get some nice crossfire to cut down aliens fast. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> /me misses docks too <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> ,it was good map to train silent assasin tactics <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
