What causes habits? Why do we unconsiously do them? Whats your worst habit?
Well, mine is chewing on toothpicks. I have one in my mouth constantly, one time I even woke up with one in my mouth. My parents were worried at one point that I would **** myself, or swollow one, so they got me a new kind of toothpick, has a nice pine taste, round at one end, dullish flat thingy at the other, very nice, dont poke myself anymore. Its wierd, I can tell the kind of tree the toothpick was made out of by its taste, pine, birch, and many others. Some guy I know, who is really rich, uses REDWOOD toothpicks!! they taste so good!

It's like cutting off your nose to spite your face. (that's a bad habit also!)

I already threw up, so I doubt Im going to do it again. Besides im prolly going to go to bed about 3:00 anyway after eating tons of bacon and eggs and other greasy stuff. I think greasy stuff makes the morning after better?
Stupid social anxiety
I tend to fill in words for other people when they're trying to get their idea across. I think it's rude because even though I already understand what they're talking about, I should show the courtesy to let them finish.
I snore. I hate it. It sucks.
I get mad real easily. Usually over little things. I try to hold my tongue and think about the consequences, but sometimes I lose control.
I don't know why I have such habits. Maybe from insecurity?

it was actually a rather obscure simpsons reference (anyone remember 'fluffy bunny meets girl bunny'? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->) <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
BWAHAHAHAHA!
It's so wrong it's funny.
Bad habits.. hmm.... I mumble sometimes. That and I have a short attention span. Last weekend I was so bored I learned how to solve rubiks cubes.
Now that I think about it.....I guess yelling out random things at completely innapropriate times would be considered a bad habit. For example, today I managed to yell very loudly "FORNICATION" during several serious conversations. I do that a lot.
LOL, Now I remember where that came from, havenst seen that one in a while. "And then comes the Honeymoon*bad music plays*"
Kids"EWWW!!"
Teacher"Shes faking it"
My habits, I speed, im on the computer WAYYY to much, and I crack my knuckles and my neck (my neck I crack without touching it, I sit perfectly still in class and turn my head just right so a loud crack comes from my neck)
I aslo have this bad habit of not getting enough sleep, and I procrastinate.
Amen to that. Now I am going to start writing the two papers I have due tomorrow.
It is, after all, a teddy bear that beccons the young ones into the van.

Oh and I don't know what kind of habit this is, but I was psychologically addicted to quite a few drugs for a while...but I'm off that, for the most part.
I also fiddles with my pen a lot in class, and tend to drop it at least twice every period.
I can start an endless discussion about any game that I've played or even heard about. My brother, a non-gamer, gets mad at me when I walk over and start talking at him.
Habits of gratification (which are my worst ones) are alos cause by chemical reactions in the brain, but not caused by underproduction of the chemical blocker. I smoke herb before I go to sleep, and I cant fall asleep unless I smoke. Pot is generally not physically addictive (means THC doesnt replace essential chemicals like heroin and opium) but the instant gratification I get from it is mentally addictive to the max.
- drumming on the keyboard with my thumbs while listening to music (only while pre- or post-typing)
- if I'm using the mouse, I'll drum on the mousepad instead
- cracking my toes, fingers, wrists, knees, ankles, and/or neck -- very bad habit that I'm mostly rid of
- pacing -- <i>especially</i> if I'm bored or waiting for something/someone
- checking to see who's signed in on MSN and/or ICQ
- refreshing the NS forums to see if any new posts/replies are up -- I'm usually listed as an active user for most of the day <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
- lightly grinding my teeth -- <i>very</i> bad habit I'm trying be get rid of
Sadly, I've done every one of those in the past few minutes. Every time I'd do one of the habitual things, I'd add it to the list. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I think your constantly twitching eyebrows counts as a habit <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
