Help Me!

Tickle

Ive Looked and looked, yet i cant find this in the New Player Fourms, or anything like it. So ill just post it. Aight, i just downloaded NS. And when i update and get the list of servers its all good. When I first tried to connect toa server, after awhile it would disconnect due to WON # or something not being right..which cant be possible cause i just played counter-strike today. I restarted my computer then tried again to connect to a server (not jsut one, like 100 of em, i clicked everywhere) wheni tried to connect it said something about how i cant connect to a server that has a custom game unless i have the custom game. Im kinda confused on whats going on...can anyone tell me?

Whenever you want to play a Half-Life mod, you have to go to the "Custom Game" menu, click the mod name, and hit "Activate". When you do this, you'll see the menu re-skin itself and everything, so it'll look like you're playing a whole new game.

NOW go connect to an NS server and everything should be fine. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

If you already did that and it's not working, re-install Natural Selection. You should also make sure you've got the latest Half-Life patches (which you should already have if you've been playing CS, since they should both require it).

And do you start your NS on that desktop icon? It doesn't work properly. Use your start menu to launch NS.

I think that HLSW is better, if you only play HL mods. But if you want to play other multiplayer games, then ASE is much better.
