<div class="IPBDescription">Where you don't always get your max ammo</div> Has any one eles seen this? For the LMG getting ammo from the armory will ALWAYS go up to 250 rounds and fully load your clip without needing load your gun, Same with the pistol. But for the HMG your clip wont auto load and sometimes i can't get past 182 of extra ammo. Can anyone explane this?

As far as I can tell it's a similar bug in the hmg display as was in the lmg display in v 1.03. As long as you keep the use key held down on the armoury, with the hmg, until the noise stops you WILL have a full ammo supply in stock, dispite what your screen shows.

Really? I always thought i had what ever the HUD said i did. A other bug i found wich i'm not sure IF it still works been a while since i checked was with the LMG if you shot off less then 5 rounds and reloaded you'd get a full clip without ammo being taken off your extra stockpile. And no it was't a HUD bug because i counted the shots and i went 50 over the 100 rounds i started with. And once my HUD said i had 0 in clip and 0 in stock and i chould fire with out needed to even reload. Was funny to shoot my HMG for 5 min long! There was many a dead skulk that day.

OMG! Post that in the bug forums ASAP! Now that it's been leaked to the general public I expect to see quite a few people exploiting this and I WOULD NOT like to see five people with never ending HMG ammo supplies....

I wouldn't say so. Once I fired my 300 lmg bullets... Buy I take full ammo just if there's no dangerous situation (phase gate under attack) or when I'm needed (waypoint).

    I think it was a one time thing, i have no clue how it happend or if it will ever again. God it was funny tho. They'd wait around a bend for me to reload and it never happend! lol <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo-->

And ya you gota be jokeing. The only time i DON'T get full ammo is if there is something important going on like the other guy said. I have good aim if i may so say and i don't need more then 15 LMG rounds to kill a good skulk but what happens if you need to take down a OC? Or a hive? Or many Skulks? Then your 50/50 ammo wont cut it no matter how good you are. I also full load my pistol as well.

Well, you walk slightly slower the more ammo you carry... But I generally only take 150-20 spare, and I did so before I heard about the walking slower thing.

i always load up full on ammo, unless a location need defending urgently, then i just run through the phase gate with 50/50 and 10/10.
then i go back and fill up once the location is secure

Armory humpers is a major annoyment...
    hehe
"Oh my god guys they're taking feedwater !"
    *hump hump*
    "AAAAAH !"
    *hump hump*
    "Damn... Feedwater down"
    *tries PG*
"Hey, since when is PG down ?"
People who take lots of ammo cause they need it are cool however

    I am serious.
Reloading most times is just a freaking waste of time.
Try to remember each time you die, how much extra ammo you just dropped (including pistol) and how much time you wasted in reloading for this ammo.
Most times when I respawn I just reload ammo once or twice (+50 or +100 more bullets).
Of course this depends on the given situation and the question "how long do I need to shoot till I might die".
    Examples:
    - If aloiens just build 2 hives, you are almost alone and parasited, more than 100 ammo is just a pure waste of time.
    - When you have 6 teammates around you and you plan to spend a longer time out of the main base alife, just reload till they start moving all together.
    - When you have a rare welder (the comm just dropped 2 of them) you dont need (much) ammo. just keep all of your team welded.
    - Simple: When Marines are builing an outpost near the 2nd alien hive you need 2 kinds of ppl. the ones with full ammo killing all stuff and the ones almost without ammo saving/securing the rest of the team. Having just one kind will lead to lots of dead marines.

If you are out of ammo and still alive BUILD STUFF and let the ppl with ammo defend!
If you are out of ammo and there is nothing to build PLAY THE BAIT:
Drop all your weapons and make aliens run to you (instead to your teammates) while your teammates have you always in theit line of sight.
When you dont have to concentrate on shooting you can easily play catch with aliens (and they dont get you easy).

I can't believe there are actually people who post on this forum who get full ammo. That is ludicrous.

I won't go into a vast explanation but consider this:

How often do you spend all that ammo?

EDIT: Getting full ammo decreases how fast you can walk.

I only get full ammo if I'm going to clear out OCs single handedly. Now THAT requires a load of clips.

also to answer the origional question is. The LMG holds 50/300 max(i think this was changed in 1.04) and hmg holds like 150/400 or something. BUT the HL engine only displays a max of 250 regardless. so if you have like 150/182 for your hmg, and get another 150 from the armory it goes over the 250 and HL won't display it.
