Some of you have probably heard about Bush's Mid East plan, which IIRC, is backed by Blair. Do you all think this will work? I believe this will work if both sides are forced to the table. America can force Israel to the table by threating to cut aid, though bringing the Palestinians to table could be more difficult. If settlements and ended, Palestine becomeing independent, and an effective barrier between the two nations errected, there might actually be an end to the violence. Though there is a prophecy when peace is brought to the Middle East the world ends <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'm going to put my name under any initiative that's treating both sides fairly, but after what I've heard, Bush brings this out at the exactely wrong moment - the Palestinians won't accept an emmisary who just started a war against another Muslim country. You can force them to negotiate, sure, but without of at least a neutral stance of the extremist factions on both sides, it's impossible to realize the negotiated results - google 'Rabin' for examples.

That situation is so messy. We have Arab extemists who want to kil Jews. Jew Extremists who want to kll arabs. A PM who mixes defense with retribution. A PLO leader who sponsors Terrorism. Not good. Not good at all.
