Cd Mediator

<div class="IPBDescription">Pros/ Cons</div> I started using CD Mediator PERL today. Im using the default ratio settings. Anyone using other ratio settings that would be better for NS?

This seems to be a good alternative to running CD in required mode. If you have never heard of CD mediator PERL, you can find out more about here.

There are other versions for statsme and adminmod, etc, but I like this one. At the very least mediator can be used to give those that do not have CD installed a trial run before having to play there with CD.

Read the documentation, and it answered one of my questions which was just retrying and getting your warnings back, but it remembers them. However, other question is I never turn on Cheating-Death, other programs do it for me based on whether the server has CD as either Required or Optional. With mediator will such programs detect if it is running in this mode ? Otherwise mine would never turn on and thus be greatly annoying

I guess if you dont have it set to start CD on optional servers you may have an issue if you are required to run CD on that optional server. ASE runs CD for optional and required servers. Don't know about other programs.

I haven't turned mediator up on my NS server yet, but when I used it for CS, I believe I made it slightly more strict than the default.

It does it for optional also, but is mediator always optional until you get a certain K:D ratio then it becomes required for you ?

Simulation

if you run amx mod u can try the mediator under amx. it works good, but it is not well supported for NS (yet).
