We are now at war! I really hope the conscripts give up without a fight! I really feel for these guys due to the fact they have the Royal Marine Commandos, Royal Paracute Regiment and the 101st Airbourne attacking them. They don't stand a fecking chance! They are under equipped under trained and under dedicated soldiers. They are jus guys like me fighting a war they don't understand why is happening. I really hope they surrender.
Man this is so wrong!

Someone could have been wounded or ever worse, killed, that was very close to them. On these updates, don't use it as a soap box for your opinion, use a little ****'n respect for those who are fighting to keep peace in the world.
Just a little respect is all i ask.
(this was not a flame to any of the posters, but just a general rant)
Hopefully that asteroid will come flying by and knock some sense into the species *shakes head*

. . . and Saddam handed out chemical weapons. Man, do those inspectors ever find anything?

While I agree with your plea for respect, I'd like to point out that following this argumentation, one may not be jubilant about American victories, either - the other side is just as convinced of fighting for the good cause, after all.
If they keep demonstrating fiercely in Turkey this won't last for long ! (hopefully in France too)
Carrying supplies by train is unthinkable in Turkey for now. Railroad workers managed to halt the traffic to Iraq.

**sigh**
I suppose we should just let the UN take another 12 years to do sod all about the situation. The UN has failed once again to do it's job just like in Kosovo.

I find it strange that the supposedly civilised nations of today cant seem to solve anything by proper diplomatic means, instead, those supposedly civilised nations have to resort dropping chemical compounds that violently react on each other to solve their differences.
Bombing one nation just becuase of their leader is not the way to go about this. If the US wants saddam out, then simply get an assasin to do it. Minimum risk, minimum cost, minimum lives lost. It seems that the US government just wishes to flex it's military might once more...
I stand by my comments. I really do hope that asteroid comes flying by soon...
Or the monolith will wake up, whichever comes first...

Well for diplomacy it takes two sides actively trying to reach a compromise, not just one side talking to the wall. Assassination of Saddam would just create a power vaccum which might be filled by someone worse then him, or it might have brought a good leader to power. Assassinations for political change are useless unless the revolutionaries have a force to support them.

Assanation is almost impossible Saddam Hussien has the most ruthless security (pauses to think of somebody to compare it to but cant) ever. He has mock revolutions just to see who would be on the revolutionary side. Leme tell you, you don't wanna be on there side
Not to mention his sons are just as nasty if not worse so taking him out will only lead to thier take over.
