<div class="IPBDescription">Well..</div>Ok, I've read and searched.. couldnt find any topics about this.. so I'll just go ahead n ask..

In a game of CS, u reload your gun after, say 2 bullets are shot.. the clip u remove adds to your ammo "storage" thus making it able to be used again.. now.. NS.

Will NS go for such an realism that even ammoclips half-used-but-changed be lost? And the reload itself (I'm a reload maniac) will it be performed by player (i.e reload whenever u feel like it) or be autoed when your clip runs "dry" so to speak?

also, I've not seen anything even remotley in resemblence to a knife/crowbar/thingie.. so, that must mean the pistol is your "last chance for life" kind of weapon (imagine knife vs Tiny >=) )
does it have endless amount of ammo? (hope not)

Marines have a knife in NS (I have knifed Tiny before now).  Currently ammo works like in HL and CS as you described.  Subject to change of course.

As it stands right now (probably not gonna change, but hey, who knows...), reload is done exactly like CS.  Any bullets in your clip that are unused when you reload are thrown back in your inventory.  You can reload whenever you feel like it, but of course you'll auto-reload when your clip runs out.  Also, the marines are issued a knife for last-ditch combat, but if you have to use it, you're probably gonna die since the aliens are far superior at melee combat.

Using a knife against bob is like using a toothpick against a lion. Your usually better off running. I do however recall being trapped in a corner with no ammo and just out of sight of the aliens in Bast. Eventually, they set up all their little alien trappings and moved on to kill the entire marine team and blast away the base. There I sat, still under orders from the commander not to move a muscle lest I die and cost my team rps. Eventually, I got up and charged the turrets with my knife. Regardless of what other people tell you, I must have done some damage before dying!. ANd I have seen the occasional (read Typing Kill) marine knife kill. It happens. ANd thats what counts.

What you all must remember with the knife, it's player reaction, now alien. Alien, would have you dead before that second swipe, however, a human who doesn't feel the pain truthfully, may not even notice it.
