<div class="IPBDescription">...</div> Ok, I'm a newbie to skins and such, but could someone tell me how to make custom crosshairs, and do custom crosshairs affect file consistancy ?
If you look toward the bottom of the main post in <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=20223' target='_blank'>Modelling 101</a> you'll see some sprite stuff. I recommend using Sprite View and Sprite Wizard - they're nice and simple, and do everything you could want them to. Aside from that, you'll want yourself a semi-decent paint program (PSP, Photoshop, whatever), and you're away.

Things to keep in mind is that there are some sprite modes HL isn't too keen on for crosshairs, and sometimes a perfectly good sprite will be ruined by not checking out your pallette/color table properly. Not much I can say to that other than it takes a bit of trial and error sometimes to get things working the way you want until you're used to it.
