Hi all, first post here. I've been playing CS for over a year, and now I've decided to come check out NS. A few problems. 1.) ASE does not support NS. 2.) The NS client does not let me filter NS games, the only options are cstrike and half-life. I can't seem to find any servers. I would search, but it appears the search function is broken atm.

b) If you are using your desktop shortcut, delete it and use another one, small bug <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
then, find the servers you like the sound of - bygame servers for example, and copy and paste the IP into the server information box.
build up a list of about 30 servers, and there is guaranteed to be one with people playing on it when you need a game.
Multi-Player - Internet games - Filter Select NS - Click refresh and u get lots of servers

....maybe because it sucks <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Yea, I understand how hard clicking a button and joining a server can be. Its hell on the mouse AND your finger. Lets get working on a voice recognition prog that you turn on and say "YES" and it opens up NS and hits whatever that button is that connects you to the fastest server.
omg and now he wants to attack my vocal cords....

It sucks, because:
With ASE i can easily see the country of the server (i only want to play in finnish servers)
and ping (not those green/red "balls"). ASE has buddy tracker. It is easier to look who are in a server (i click a server once and i can see who are in there). With HL browser i have to select that server and then click that server information thing. ASE has queuing, so i can leave it to wait for a free slot, if server is full.
That's all what i can figure out now, but i add more reasons if i remember any...
I'm getting that message after connecting to my first server sucessfuly, then when I try for another one, it won't let me.
I'm running
HL 10 update and NS 1.0.
No server updates installed.
Do i need to install those?
Thanks!

Don't use the NS shortcut created on your desktop. Use the start menu and go from there.
"Host error: CL_Parse_Version Server is protocol 1701860131 instead of 46"
related to the shortcut bug?
Thanks a lot for all your help. NS looks like a very interesting game. Now only if I can get the hang of t he Alien attacks (since that seems to be the only one available race to play online <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> )
