Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.
Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see there is so much more
and beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.
Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.
I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.
With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in.
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out.
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
Spiral out. Keep going...

Here is this watermark
under this bridge
The point where it crested,
rolled back and drifted,
into the sea...
You really have to hear it in the context of the song.
Artist: <b>Skinny Puppy</b>
Song: <b>Cult</b>
Album: <b> The Process</b>, 1995
a lasting moment to hold onto with regret the scent of time
tried and tested I never noticed the phantoms of her mind
cresent moon I'm cutting through paste up warnings fill the sky
smoking embers I remember time and time again to try
to live I light to sink within her I think of light
time to blame to borrow from your past elapsed
collapsing
shes not insane
shes gone insane
and if the root of silence pulls me off and love is lost not
from my heart I sit upon this throne that throws me off
and she falls backward to the floor and forward to the back
she says elapses all my truth again shes the one I live for I live alone
burns inside horribly she lifts me to the spirit burns
the darkest hours my corrupt brain is hurting
once again the door lies quiet left alone I'm thinking of her
sitting the burning clock of time
Song: Jotun
I often dream of huge numb buildings
jet-black sinister architecture
being installed when nobody sees
Their appearance so sudden
that few would take notice
And when I wake up
I imagine being crushed by one
imagining its weight its silence
and the absence of excuses for a havoced life
and the privilege of a 22-kilometre tombstone
Jotun
A body of black
that carried no reflection
defying its own room
un-earthly eggs of decreation
There would be colonies
mushroom-scattered forever out of context
rising spores from a dying world
to pollute to chase away what´s left
Sun-white pulverised desert stone
and serpentine lizard mouths
Pales away the pyramids
rewriting 4500 years of history
raping the statue of liberty
outplays the acropolis
inverting the fjords
invades the n y skyline to
dream its own existence in one single final word
Jotun
Can we identify them
as the flint buried in our reptile skulls
or the time-bomb coded in our dna
Metallica - Holier Than Thou
From the Black album
No more!
the craps rolls out your mouth again
haven't changed, your brain is still gelatin
little whispers circle around your head
why don't you worry about yourself instead
who are you? where ya been? where ya from?
gossip is burning on the tip of your tongue
you lie so much you believe yourself
judge not lest ye be judged yourself
holier than thou
you are
holier than thou
you are
you know not
before you judge me take a look at you
can't you find something better to do
point the finger, slow to understand
arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand
it's not who you are it's who you know
others lives are the basis of your own
burn your bridges build them back with wealth
judge not lest ye be judged yourself
holier than thou
you are
holier than thou
you are
you know not

I found that cool on several levels - there's the obvious literary level (<i>he's on a stage, she's in the crowd</i>), but what was cool was what's being said on a figurative level (<i>she dumped him, believing that he wasn't good enough for her, but now he's far above what she'll ever be</i>).
Eh, I liked it. Thought it was a clever way of telling the story. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Song: P.S. You rock my world
Album: Electroshock Blues
I was at a funeral the day I realised
I wanted to spend my life with you
sitting down on the steps at the old post office
the flag was flying at half mast
and I was thinkin' 'bout how everyone is dying
and maybe it is time to live
I don't know where we're going
I don't know what we'll do
walked into the thrif-tee
saw the man with the hollow eyes
who didn't give me all my change
but it didn't bother me this time
'cause I know I only got this moment
and it's <i>good</i>
I went to the gas station
old woman honked her horn
waiting for me to fix her car
I don't know where we're going
I don't know what we'll do
laying in bed tonight I was thinking
and listening to all the dogs
and the sirens and the shots
and how the careful man tries to dodge the bullets
while a happy man takes a walk
and maybe it is time to live
Lyrics: Arthur Christopher Benson
Land of Hope and Glory Chorus
Land of Hope and Glory,
Mother of the Free,
How shall we extol thee,
Who are born of thee?
Wider still and wider
Shall thy bounds be set;
God, who made thee mighty,
Make thee mightier yet.
I <i>really</i> recommend checking them out.

Staring at the sea
Will she come?
Is there hope for me
After all is said and done
Anything at any price
All of this for you
All the spoils of a wasted life
All of this for you
All the world has closed her eyes
Tired faith all worn and thin
For all we could have done
And all that could have been
Ocean pulls me close
And whispers in my ear
The destiny I've chose
All becoming clear
The currents have their say
The time is drawing near
Washes me away
Makes me disappear
I descend from grace
In arms of undertow
I will take my place
In the great below
I can still feel you
Even so far away

Unabashedly pursue,
the Truth that we cannot deny
A revelation shining through,
orchestration Adonai
A revolution ultra-blue,
and a melodic battle cry
And though you say there'll be no coup,
we'll never know unless we
Try to see it through,
and find a different point of view,
one where faith is not taboo
And we'll all learn to see the world as new
Sometimes a belief held true,
is proved to be an outright lie
But it seems we always knew,
in some unspoken lullaby
I'll see you at the rendezvous,
we'll raise our voices to the sky
And though it's said there'll be no coup,
we'll never know unless we
Try to see it through, and find a
Different point of view,
one where faith is not taboo
And we'll all learn to see the world as new
"Somehow I find beauty in our failings..."
don't assume. ogre is the best.
<b>rammstein - der meister</b>
die wahrheit ist wie ein gewitter
es kommt zu dir du kannst es horen
es kund zu tun ist ach so bitter
es kommt zu dir um zu zerstoren
the truth is like a thunder storm
it comes to you, you can hear it
to announce it is oh so bitter
it comes to you in order to destroy
EVE OF DESTRUCTION
Barry McGuire
Schreib„r Sloan
The eastern world it tis explodin',
violence flarin', bullets loadin',
you're old enough to kill but not for votin',
you don't believe in war, what's that gun you're totin',
and even the Jordan river has bodies floatin',
but you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Don't you understand, what I'm trying to say?
Can't you see the fear that I'm feeling today?
If the button is pushed, there's no running away,
There'll be noone to save with the world in a grave,
take a look around you, boy, it's bound to scare you, boy,
but you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Yeah, my blood's so mad, feels like coagulatin',
I'm sittin' here, just contemplatin',
I can't twist the truth, it knows no regulation,
handful of Senators don't pass legislation,
and marches alone can't bring integration,
when human respect is disintegratin',
this whole crazy world is just too frustratin',
and you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Think of all the hate there is in Red China!
Tehn take a look around to Selma, Alabama!
Ah, you may leave here, for four days in space,
but when your eturn, it's the same old place,
the poundin' of the drums, th pride and disgrace,
you can bury your dead, but don't leave a trace,
hate your next-door-neighbour, but don't forget to say grace,
and you tell me over and over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

The angsty teenager in me always liked this.... Rollins Band..
I think you got a low self opinion man
I see you standing all by yourself
Unable to express the pain of your distress
You withdraw deeper inside
You alienate yourself
And everybody else
They wonder what's on your mind
They got so tired of you
And your self ridicule
They wrote you off and left you behind
You sleep alone at night
You never wonder why
All this bitterness wells up inside you
You always victimize
So you can criticize yourself
And all those around you
The hatred you project
Does nothing to protect you
You leave yourself so exposed
You want to open up
When someone says
Lighten up
You find all your doors closed
Get yourself a break from self rejection
Try some introspection
And you just might find
It's not so bad and anyway
At the end of the day
All you have is yourself and your mind
The self hatred that blinds you
Binds you grinds you keeps you down
The world falls down around you
You build up walls around you
You wear disgust like a crown
If you could see the you that I see
When I see you seeing me
You'd see yourself so differently
Believe me
I know the self doubt that runs inside your mind
I know the self that treats you so unkind
If you could see the you that I see
When I see you
You would see things differently
I assure you
On a cheerier note, I always liked these lads..Funkadelic, late 70's..
Free Your Mind And Your **** Will Follow
{G Clinton, Eddie Hazel, Ray Davis}
Free your mind and your **** will follow
The kingdom of heaven is within
(x3)
Open up your funky mind and you can fly
Free your mind and your **** will follow
The kingdom of heaven is within
Freedom is free of the need to be free
Free your mind and your **** will follow
The kingdom of heaven is within
(x4)
Yeah
Free your mind and your **** will follow (your **** will follow)
The kingdom of heaven is within
Whoaaaaa!
Free your mind (will you free your mind?)
And your **** will follow (and your **** will follow)
I have never, never never
Never in my life
Have this given to me
Free your mind and your **** will follow
?
Not like you
You are as free as you want to be (your **** will follow)
Well, I discovered that this life that was gettin' to me
Is not really mine (Free your mind and your **** will follow)
If it were mine, I would have fun all of the time
I'm very disgruntled now
Now, I want a way out, now
I have to find a way
I have to find some way out
Free your mind and your **** will follow (x2)
Give it up, give it up (free your mind and your **** will follow)
Give it up and give it to me, baby
I'm calling you love
Love
?from my heart
Free your mind and your **** will follow
Wowww!
?
Free your mind and your **** will follow (x2)
The kingdom of heaven is within
Free your mind and your **** will follow (x3)
Get it on!
Free your mind and your **** will follow
The kingdom of heaven is within
Free your mind and your **** will follow
The kingdom of heaven is within (x5)
The kingdom of heaven is within (free your mind!)
The kingdom of heaven is within (free your mind yawf)
The kingdom of heaven is within (x6)
The kingdom of heaven is within (are you satisfied?)
(x4)
The kingdom of heaven is within
(I wanna know! Free your mind and your **** will follow)
The kingdom of heaven is within (I Really care)
The kingdom of heaven is within (x2)
The kingdom of heaven is within
I'm so confused about it all (x2)
I'm so confused about the whole thing
I don't understand
I don't understand nothin'
I don't know what I feel
I can't feel me, I can't live me, I can't be me
My mind, it does not belong to me
I'm so confused (x2)
I can't hear myself
I can't hear myself calling for help
I can't free my mind
So my **** can't follow
Someone help me
I got to get help
Here's my arm
Help me escape
I don't want to (x3)
I can't free my mind
No, no, no
They won't free me
I can't run
I can't get out
I can't free my mind (x3)
I'm so mixed up
So mixed up
What time is it? (x3)
Resurrection, free of charge
I can't hear me (x2)
Free your mind and your **** will follow
I can't
Free your mind and your **** will follow
The kingdom of heaven is within (x4)
Free your mind and your **** will follow
My favourite for today is however, Mr Lennon.
As soon as you're born, they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Til the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
They hurt you at home, and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Til you're so f***ing crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
When they tortured and scared you for 20 odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
Keep you doped with religion, and sex, and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still f***ing peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
There's room at the top, they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero, well just follow me
If you want to be a hero, well just follow me
Always liked these as well...well, now ya got me started on this..
"What It's Like"- Everlast.
We've all seen the man at the liquor store beggin' for your change
The hair on his face is dirty, dreadlocked and full of mange
He ask the man for what he could spare with shame in his eyes
Get a job you ****' slob's all he replied
[CHORUS]
God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in his shoes
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to sing the blues
Then you really might know what it's like [X4]
Mary got pregnant from a kid named Tom who said he was in love
He said don't worry about a thing baby doll I'm the man you've been dreamin' of
But three months later he said he won't date her or return her call
And she sweared god damn if I find that man I'm cuttin' off his balls
And then she heads for the clinic and she gets some static walkin' through the doors
They call her a killer, and they call her a sinner, and they call her a ****
[CHORUS]
God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in her shoes
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to have to choose
Then you really might know what it's like [X4]
I've seen a rich man beg
I've seen a good man sin
I've seen a tough man cry
I've seen a loser win
And a sad man grin
I heard an honest man lie
I've seen the good side of bad
And the down side of up
And everything between
I licked the silver spoon
Drank from the golden cup
Smoked the finest green
I stroked daddies dimes at least a couple of times
Before I broke their heart
You know where it ends
Yo, it usually depends on where you start
I knew this kid named Max
He used to get fat stacks out on the corner with drugs
He liked to hang out late at night
Liked to get **** faced
And keep pace with thugs
Until late one night there was a big gun fight
Max lost his head
He pulled out his chrome .45
Talked some ****
And wound up dead
Now his wife and his kids are caught in the midst of all of his pain
You know it crumbles that way
At least that's what they say when you play the game
[CHORUS]
God forbid you ever had to wake up to hear the news
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to have to lose
Then you really might know what it's like [X4]
To have to lose...
Headstones - Tweeter and the monkey man
Tweeter and the Monkey Man were hard up for cash
They stayed up all night selling cocaine and hash
To an undercover cop who had a sister named Jan
For reasons unexplained she loved the Monkey Man
Tweeter was a Boy Scout, 'course he went to Viet Nam
Found out the hard way nobody gives a damn
Thought that they'd find freedom just across the Jersey line
Hopped into a stolen car, took Highway 99
And the walls came down
All the way to hell
Never saw them when they standin
Never saw them when they fell
The undercover cop, he never liked the Monkey Man
Even back in high school, wanted to see him in the can
Jan got married at fourteen to a racketeer named Bill
Made secret plans with the Monkey Man from a mansion on the hill
It was out on Thunder Road, Tweeter at the wheel
Pulled into paradise, you could hear the tires squeal
It was Jan who'd told him many times "It was you to me who'd taught:
In Kingston everything's legal as long as you don't get caught"
And the walls came down
All the way to hell
Never saw them when they standin
Never saw them when they fell
Some place by Riway prison they ran out of gas
The undercover cop cornered 'em, said "You didn't think that this could last"
Jan jumped up out of bed said "There's some place I gotta go"
She took the gun out of the drawer, and said "It's best that you don't know"
An ambulance rolled up, State Trooper close behind
Tweeter took his gun away and messed up his mind
The undercover cop was found face down in a field
The Monkey Man was on the bridge using Tweeter as a shield
And the walls came down
All the way to hell
Never saw them when they standin
Never saw them when they fell
The town of Jersey City is quieting down again
I'm sitting in a gambling club called The Lion's Den
The TV set is blown up, every bit of it is gone
Ever since the night when they showed that the Monkey Man was on
Maybe I'll go to Florida, get myself some sun
There ain't no more opportunity here and everythings been done
Sometimes I think of Tweeter, sometimes I think of Jan
Sometimes I don't think about nothin' but the Monkey Man
And the walls came down
All the way to hell
Never saw them when they standin
Never saw them when they fell

The Eels are one of my favorite bands. you rock my world is one of the best ones, along with the ones you mentioned + Not ready yet.
This is one of my favorite songs and bands also:
Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees
Her Green plastic watering can
For her fake chinese rubber plant
In fake plastic earth.
That she bought from a rubber man
In a town full of rubber plants
Just to get rid of itself.
And It Wears Her Out, it wears her out
It wears her out, it wears her out.
She lives with a broken man
A cracked polystyrene man
Who just crumbles and burns.
He used to do surgery
For girls in the eighties
But gravity always wins.
And It Wears Him Out, it wears him out
It wears him out, it wears him out.
She looks like the real thing
She tastes like the real thing
My Fake Plastic Love.
But I can't help the feeling
I could blow through the ceiling
If I just turn and run
And It Wears Me Out, it wears me out
It wears me out, it wears me out.
And if I could BE who you wanted
If I could BE who you wanted,
All the time, all the time
<b>Natural Mystic</b>-
there's a natural mystic blowing through the air
if you listen carefully now you will hear
this could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last
many more will have to suffer
many more will have to die - don't ask me why
things are not the way they used to be
i won't tell you no lie
one and all have to face reality now
'tho i've tried to find the answer to all the questions they ask
'tho i know it's impossible to go living through the past
don't tell no lie
there's a natural mystic blowing through the air
can't keep them down
if you listen carefully now you will hear
