I have to admit, this is the first Starcraft model that i've been impressed by, however I also have to agree with Redford, it does look a little high-poly for NS.

with all do respect to merc's skinning skills (me assumes they are godly), i think that we should at least have something fast right now? its been around a month...me wonders if Geek could skin it? like the zergling? fast, simple, nice?
I agree it has been a while, this was started <u>long before the zergling</u> and should've been done by now. I don't mean to pressure/flame/yell at the creators, but why hasen't this been finished?

well normally ill agree with the patience is a virtue thing...but its been WELL over a month since this guy was finished and sent to the shop for skinning/animating...ive been dieing for this guy...i need new lerk =(
Since this thread has been revived anyway, ill just ask my question. How will the Mutalisk walk? it has no legs or anything? Unless you make its walk a hover...
well, i just contacted mercatorn yesterday about his progress of skinning, i haven't heard a reply from him yet.
as for your question of how lerk is gonna walk. here is the situation: ( don't expect it to be changed, since animation is finished ages ago, and i won't change any of them )
since lerk is gonna have in game attack animation: when it bites, the movement is in the head and upper body. when it shoots, the movement is in the lower body ( ie the sucker part ). Therefore the lower body can not be used in the run/ walk animation. so a few of u suggested that we can make it a snake like movement using it's lower body. This is not gonna happen. So what i have done is making a hover animation when it walks/runs/crawls with it's wings slowly flapping. When it does not move at all, ie, when it's idle. I just let it rest on the ground with it's ususal body pose ( ie the "C" shape ) with it's wings folded. i didn't make it to hover when it is idle is because of the cheating concern raised by jamil regarding idle and cloaking. So no movement whatsoever when it is idle.
i will let u guys know the skinning status as soon as mercatorn replies to me.
