Help... Cant Join

Im pretty sure i installed ns right but everytime i go to join a game i get this message...

couldnt not connect to game server
Reason: Your .dll[cl.dlls\client.dll] differs from the server's

Ive tried a few different servers and get this everytime although every server was playin the same map. I dont know if this has somethin to do with maps or whatever but can you help?

    usually this is caused by having
    a differnt version of hl that the server.

    make sure you have most recent hl update

    The Fact that im usin CS 1.5 have anything to do with it. Since it is looking for 1.4?

    First thing first is your HL client updated to the latest version 1110 i think. Also did you look in this <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=18&t=8223' target='_blank'>thread</a> for directions for installing with CS retail.

    *EDIT* Also all the NS updates are server-side only make sure you dont install those since they wont do you any good.

    I did look in that thread already and thats how i was able to install ns. The only thing ive installed is the ns download. How do i fix this stupid problem.....

    If you are using CS Retail, Then I suggest you go buy Regular Half-Life.

    It's even cheap here in the UK £12.99. So for you lucky people who dont have to pay tax to burp in public it chould be realllly nice and cheap.

    There is nothing but problem after problem with CS-Retail

    Ok, Lets give it a go :


    1. Uninstall CS AND NS

    2. Restart

    3. Install CS

    4. Download Updates (<a href='http://www.counter-strike.net' target='_blank'>Counter-Strike</a>)
    Note : Make sure you download CS - Retail Update

    5. Install Update

    6. Make sure you have the Latest Version of NS (<a href='http://www.natural-selection.org' target='_blank'>Natural Selection</a>)
    Note: As far as I am aware, there is only 1 version publicy released for everyone

    7. Play

    Hope it helps.

    If you won't authorise you with WON, then try this .lst that I am using :
