I Sure Hope 1.1 Comes Out Within 3 Weeks!
<div class="IPBDescription">I just realized I'll be on modem soon!</div> Yuppers. 56k in 3 weeks. I know, I know, 1.1 isn't going to be out then since it hasn't started PTing yet. But between the download (all nighter for sure) I'm nonetheless going to be one heckuva laggy skulk (when I do play) for the summer. There are going to be some balanced servers out there now! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
My point? I won't be getting much playing in! Going from cable to 56k last summer basically killed me in CS and DoD. I wish I could stay hooked up to the cable, but after the semester is over, I'm booted out of residence!

Well, they'd love it too! See, when you live way out in the boonies of northern British Columbia, cable companies don't exactly like to mile out the line just for you. Even the phone company doesn't want to upgrade their stuff so we could get ADSL or whatever. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
On the other hand, it's a good excuse to get away from the computer. Ride my lawn mower, go fishing, golf, camping, basically get some much needed exercise. If I do get on my comp, I'll probably work on my ns map (which is starting out nicely for me).
