Irregular Attack...

HL Guard
Let me first state out that I don't know much about servers. However, i have noticed a few servers with an 'irregular' exploitable attack if you move in any direction either knifing, shotgun, or heal spray, spit, biting, shotgun reload, etc.... that you attack 3x as fast..i tried to figure out WTH was going on because i had this same problem on my server..well heres your problem...HLGUARD!

I think this is only a problem for linux, because that is what my server is and i don't think i've seen any windows server have the same problem.

The Fix: comment out your hlguard .so file in your plugin.ini file
;linux addons/hlguard/dlls/hlguard_mm_i386.so

That should fix all your problems

Also, i didn't know where to put this, feel free to move! =)

The problem is in HLguard's wallhack-block or aimbot-detection. Nobody ever agrees

CJM, do you mean that the wallhack/aimbot HLGuard bug has been fixed?

Its due to the Aimbot detection, weve tested this.
Not sure if this was fixed in HLG 1.41 as the effect baffled our coders a bit, but give it a try, or turn off the aimbot detection.

We tested it as well and it was the wallhack block.

well, hlg's uselessness is becoming apparent to me seeing as that Aimbot detection (truely serves no true purposes as it just warned ppl, and that aimbots don't work in NS anyway it seems ) , wallhack blocking (blocked with CD).

CD fixes alot, forget hlg is what i say as its been nuttered (sp) since 1.1.1.0. Not much else it can do IMO. CD fixes mucho more problemos

This topic has been beaten to death. Like CJM said, CD is happy, much happier than HLG. So get CD, and be happy.

I use HLG for Cvar blocking and name banning. You should use CD for everything else.
