    I think it matters how mature you are and what you do for the community,Make maps,help answer peoples questions but i dont think it matters with post count.I could be wrong.. <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->

    No.

    Post count does not matter. What matters is the content in those posts you do have. Flayra looks for maturity, helpfulness, and insight in your forum posts to determine if you'd make a spiffy tester or not. Your actual number of posts does not matter. The length of time you've been here isn't all that important to the "choosing-process" either. It's my understanding that if being a playtester will be beneficial to your own work (maps, whatever), you may also be considered.

    Hold on there, the wait won't kill ya. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Taken from <a href="http://www.natural-selection.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=35" target="_blank">General Forum FAQ</a>:

    Q: Hey the main site FAQ says if I make a lot of insightful posts I can be in the beta! My post count is XXX, can I be in the beta?

    A: Maybe. Were most of those posts insightful? Did they generate a lot of deep intellectual discussion? Were they informative, well thought out, or at least well explained? Is Flayra looking for more beta testers? The simple fact of the matter is the number of posts you make does not make you more or less eligible for the beta.

    I thought by posting things like "PICK ME, PICK ME" would pretty much take one out of consideration...

    Sure, yours may be subtle, but they convey that message  <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    I'm not saying that you wouldn't be a good PT though.

    It does take a certain ammount of posts, IRC chat etc to judge if someone would make a good playtester or not.

    well yea, i mean flayra can't just look at one post which some new guy made which started off a thoght provocing debate and say, "He's in." well i mean he can but he doesn't. <i>I Hope.</i>

    what i mean is if this is the guys first or second post. After all it might have been a fluke. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah, good point Chrome. There has to be a somewhat substantial amount of posts to judge a person FROM... (might be kinda hard to tell how helpful someone may be from reading a dozen posts of his)... but the actual number is in absolutely no way a deciding factor.

    My advice is to give as much as you can to the community and NS as possible. Map, spread the word, help the new forumers, and be intellent and thoughtful.Liking shottys helps too  <!--emo&:angry:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'><!--endemo-->
