Great for getting those fatty gorges :D
Yeah most of you Vets know this already but the "Attack Target" waypoint is rather useful when telling your marines to attack those slow moving but never the less annoying gorges.

How to use -:

If say for instance you can hear the gorge building sound in a hive you are about to attack simply scan the hive ( obviously you must have obs tower first )
Then he should appear on your commander console then simply click on him and the "Attack Target " waypoint should come up and your marines should find it easy to kill that fat little basterd.
If however you come across a gorge who is pretty smart you mite find it hard to click on him. This is because as soon as you scan a smart gorge will run away thinking he is about to be blasted by a siege cannon.

I just thought I'd remind everyone of this as I used it a fair bit on a map I was commanding last nite ( eclipse I think ) and I felt it really helped in slowing down the aliens from claiming hives so quickly.

-Cheers keep posting your tipz fellas

Especially if i see that someone goes for rambo, i try to give him a waypoint so he can find that fatty and take him down.

I've had a few problems using this. First of all, selecting the alien can be a difficult tast, and even a waste of time. For instance, i'm going through a room, and there is a skulk waiting for me that the commander sees and i don't. Usually, the commander will try to tell you through voice comm, but it is also possible that he will use attack target. When fighting a fast moving unit, this is your worst enemy. The blipping icon blocks your view, and lags behind the target. I've never had a good experience when placing this on a skulk.

However, for slower moving targets, it can be quite useful. A gorge or the last fade after their 2cnd hive died are good targets. My grievence with this command is that you cannot give marines other orders while they have it, often making it difficult for them to listen. They tend to stare at walls, looking at the icon, rather than doing what i tell them through voice com. In short, beware of losing your marines attention if you use this, but don't ignore it completely.

Yes it is almost impossible to place wp on top of a moving skulk, but if skulk is hiding in dark corner or roof then it is pretty easy to mark him. I have saved few rambo marine with that wp, when skulk has been hiding somewhere.

    waypoints should have different sizes.

For example I'm currently using a 75% standard size waypoint set, and the attack skulk looked awesome and worked fine. If wp does lag then sux0r, but the one time I saw it, it didn't seem to.

However when moving and building, larger waypoints are actually better. Larger = easier acquisition and so won't waste time looking, whereas building needs big hoop to look through instead of medium hoop blocking your view.

I like putting "guard soldier" waypoints on idiot marines.

I tend to use those attack target ones on gorges of lerkers...those can be hard to track down and I can't spend all my time in one room telling my marines where the bugger flew to again. I click a couple guys...click the lerker I want them to kill...and them move on. Works wonders...or find the gorge alone by himself and repeat.
