first off, are the devs waiting til the new halflife patch is out to release 1.1 for compatibility issues?

and secondly, the new patch with steam is supposed to support wide screen resolutions... is ns going to support these too?

To heck with widescreen resolutions, I'd loved to see support for STANDARD resolutions. Do you realize that Half-Life doesn't support 1280x1024? Only 1280x960!!!

boberto, NS isn't even in playtesting stages right now as far as I know. They aren't holding the patch back for the new half-life version.

Guspaz, 1280x960 is the standard resolution. For some reason 1280x1024 became more common among users.

    id like to see 1280x768...

1280x960 looks really nice for me, but the bottom 200 pixels or so get cut off since my monitor is made for 5:3 aspect ratio... so ive just gotta do the standard 1024x768, which has some big black lines.

and im not saying the patch is done, but when it IS done, are they going to release it right away, or possibly wait for the new halflife patch so they can test it first and be sure everything is in working order?

If everybody uses it, I'd call it standard.
