Since 1.1 is not going to come out for a while, what do you guys think about releasing a 1.0x patch that fixes some of the bugs? I mean stuff that doesn't really need play-testing or balancing, like fixing the crouching hitbox, or server performance improvements.
there are 1 kinds of patches: Clientside and serversdeide.
All bugs that could have been fixed serverside got fixed with small simple serverpatches 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. Coding a clientside patch requires more work because its more code.
Now 1.1 has a completely different gameplay, i guess much of the code is completely rewritten. This could make it almost imposible to take some fixes out of that new version into the old version. At least its much extra work wich will cause to release 1.1 later.
Not much point. There's nothing that's so borken that it needs immediate attention, and tying off the stuff into an interim patch might delay any patchiness.
indeed, I'm sure everyone here would rather Flay stop increasing his enormous post count and get on writing 1.1 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
