Building Outside

can this be prevented?
some commanders build stuff (specially CC's) outside, where nobody can touch it, and the game will never end, unless the comm decides hes had enuff fun and kills himself.. or the aliens just all go to the ready room.. is there any way to stop this?

Yup. Play on servers with either...

A) Good admins.

B) Less lamers.

Mission accomplished.

"outside" ?
You mean like outside the map ?
Cause that sounds like "outside where the birds are blue and the skies fall down and the flowers sing their happy songs"
uuh

Spore clouds, acid rockets and bile bombs will all 'project' through walls. Otherwise see above posts. Most definately falls into my 'lame' category of things to do.

Type /retry
Join the marine team
Get in the comm chair
Drop armouries on all the marines forcing them to /kill
Recycle the IPs
Recycle everything else
Build an Obs
Distress beacon the marines into the marine start
Get out of the comm chair and /kill yourself.

- End.

Other than that i agree with Phoenix ;)

TeoH, i really do not know where to start to reply when i read your post.... so let me try.... i WAS in the marine team when this happened, and i am already dead, everyone was dead, except for the comm, who has 2 CC's outside the map (and he was in 1 of the CC's)......

In which case you said it in your original post. Either the alien team or the marine team should F4 to end the game. Obviously the marine team doing so would be more gracious and sporting.

On that note Phoenix, I can't F4 when dead. I never could, and still can't.

Anyone know why? It works fine normally.

It was intended to be comical. Obviously there is nothing you personally can do if your F4 is not enough to trigger the unbalanced teams default win. Try finding an admin, theres nothing else to say.

I believe that Dev team is aware of this problem(unless they are blind, deaf and dumb...which they are not) and mappers will probably rework their map so that you can't build outside map anymore. No-build box outside maps fix this.
