well, 600,000 people seem to think that Wind Waker is one of the greatest games of all time, so I'd say go with it.

Wind walker rulez. Looking at your game collection though, I'd recommend Xenosaga. Its a fantastic game, better than any of the FFs IMHO.

Wait, don't listen to me. Get wind walker, it IS one of the best ever made, except for the tedious "find the Triforce in the ocean" bit.

Hm...well out of those 3, I'd say Xenosaga. Wind Waker is fun, but if you can just rent it and beat it...why spend 40 bucks on it. Ignore all the bad things you heard about XS, it's great.

I was plannin on XS cuz of the philosophy and the good Square quality FMV's.

yeah, I can probably just rent Wind Waker again in a few weeks and finish it.

Of course, you could always go with an older, yet still great game. I'd recommend Pikmin, for the sheer addictive factor. Apparently it *can* be beaten in twelve in-game days (out of the thirty you're given), but I've not heard tell of anyone actually DOING it yet.

Alternately, Grandia 2 is a pretty good one, though the game slows down (literally.. the framerate drops when walking around) in some segments, especially later in the game. Haven't gotten through it yet, but I've been playing for about 25 hours according to the in-game timer. Good storyline, and I'm not fully sure where it's going (though I have a few ideas) due to some of the twists it's thrown.

Dark Cloud 2 is fun as well, though the Invention system can really, REALLY be painful.. trying to find that last Idea picture to mix, so you can create a specific weapon or upgrade for your Ridepod. The Fishing and Spheda (essentially golf, with some additions) sub-games can be interesting as well.

    (edit)
And as far as I've heard, FFX-2 is mostly fanservice. ;b

Come on Yoshi, you saw my game list, would you expect me to Not buy a square soft product?

I'm getting Origins soon, and Chronicles when I get to Sony Plaza this summer. so...

    FFX-2 is a given.

It may barely fit in your criteria, but I reccomend Rez, no self respecting PS2 owner should be without it. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
